This event shall take take place once a month with the first starting on Friday the 5th of September with admission being FREE.
Wigan's Rock Popsters Inside View and cheeky seaside favourites The Locals get things underway for what's sure to be a top night.

The New Ship Inn can be found here (http://www.bestpubs.co.uk/layout0.asp?pub=114031) and is not to be confused with The Ship in the City Centre!

Gonna check this out it sounds good. Good size room at the back as well suprised no ones thought of useing it before. Plenty more room then in the mad ferret.

I'm kinda involved aye. We shall grace The Ship soon but we'll leave it to the experts for the first few months!

Oh yes! It's through the little door on the left as you walk in. A pretty big venue that's not long been refurbished.

Have played at the New Ship isn't too bad...no stage or PA and it's a little bit Clubland, but iof you can fill the room the atmos is rather good. Think they used to do Battle of The Bands down there at some point.

shame it clashes with NotNowKato and that BOTB thing, otherwise i'd have a look at a gig in the ship. saw posters for it yesterday.


for those who don't know yet, this is accross from the docklands entrance on the dock road, where you would drive into to buy a Joguar or a KFC

This place is wonderful.
We turned up, got free beer, and free sandwiches and chips, we were very very happy.
Great venue, thanks to everyone who turned out to watch us, if you had half as good a time as we had, you had a great night.
Thanks very much to Steve and Gaz, we had a marvellous time.

Had a really good night and saw 2 top bands.

Glad you people enjoyed it.
We seemed to have the world against us last night with the BOTB final, The Ferret had a corker of a line-up on and it was even the Big Brother final!
Inside View got the night off to a flyer and delivered a belting set, absolutely flawless. Very impressed and a nice bunch of lads to boot.
The Locals finished off the night and just to keep it simple i'd honestly put them up there with the best live bands i've witnessed over recent years. Brilliant.

Thanks to all the people who turned out and a big thanks to both bands + father!
The night shall return early october and if any bands want to take part then just drop me a PM.
