Nah. Subliminal had a looseness that was exciting and fresh. Now it feels like they're just quantising the f*ck out of everything in ProTools. They're sounding less mature than they were three years ago.

having only heard the live version I am curious to hear the studio version cos there was a bit with the drums that made go 'eh?' and I didn't understand why that part was in there.....sept.12th will be judgement day.

I liked it. The arrangement of the song was much more like their older music which is great. Kirk's guitar work again was more like his older stuff and I loved the melodies and harmonies. Good stuff.

I stopped liking Metallica in any form after they spunked out that Whiskey In The Jar cover, everything about that record including the video had a touch of a leper about it.

Really past it and i'm amazed they were picked to headline Leeds / Reading this year, not relevant at all in the current music scene. Getting Nine Inch Nails back to headline would of been a better move, they were phenomenal at Leeds last year. Best band of the weekend.

My Apocalypse isn't good. It's those kind of songs a band record in the very end of the last studio day, when nobody has a good idea for a decent song anymore. And the band choose to include in the album cause they'll leave some decent songs for the next album of the contract.

I've heard better songs come from local bands. Kirk needs to go back to Satriani for some more lessons. His soloing "knowledge" is burnt out, used, tired and old. The production is terrible...the Guitar's sound thin as, Drums sound hollow.

I hope Metallica is revealing the worst songs of the album, cause they are going down hill each time they come out.
