I've just been given 1 months notice to move out of my house as they need to do repairs.

I already live in a shared house and would like to live in another with loverly people. I dont really want to move out of plungy as its easy for me to get everywhere i need to. I do have a child so it would be good if you dont mind children and possibly if i knew you a bit.
Is anyone thinking of moving in the next month and fancies sharing?

Also if anyone knows of anywhere thats up for rent for around £65pw all bills and broardband inc that would be much appreciated :)

love Roxie

The children or the dwarfs?

How long have you got left on your contract?
I know nothing about housing law so may be totally way off base but if you are forced to leave your house while they carry out repairs and you still have a while on your contract I think alternate accommodation has to be provided at the price of your current rent.
Again, I may be way off but it sounds familiar.

my contract runs out at the end of august, so i dont think i can do much about it. Although she has only given 3 weeks notice which is wrong as im sure its supposed to be at least 1 month.

As far as I know, she has to give you 60 days by law, you have to give at least 30.

The way me and nick got round it was to rent an entire house from a landlord then sublet the rooms out. That way you get to choose who you live with and you can make it clear there will be a child in the house. It does mean taking on an awful lot of monetary risk though, and it means if you have a couple of months without a tenant you have to take on thier rent. Also you have to find the entire house worth of deposit. Better than living with strangers/on your own though.

Ye, and i cant afford to take that risk. If i new that someone can move id do it but its not going to happen at this rate :(

I rent from Easthams, have you tried them? Seem to be pretty laid back.
