Go to London on a cheap train. If you book ahead then you can get a ticket for under £20.

Infact, cheaper to get to London on the Megabus.

Then the Eurostar is £55 return, if you book ahead.

Although the plane can be cheap, there are added costs in getting too and from the airport. So the Eurostar works out as a bargain.

Personally I'd go with Paddy's idea.

Eurostar is cool.

Everyone on the train is always a little more excited than they would be on a plane or a normal train. Because they're going under the sea!

Besides, planes aren't as fast as everyone thinks - especially for short haul. Not when you take into account the checkin times and transport too and from the airports.

And its more environmentally friendly.

you used to be able to fly from blackpool to paris for around £20 but i just checked and they don't go to paris anymore. just dublin and spain. plane to dublin cost me around £40 in total for 2 return tickets once. cheap weekend away

this = £69

flight from JL = £70

i think the flight is winning, due to comfort/speed

Don't know your dates but its about £25 return on the coach from London to Paris. Not a very fast or comfortable option but mucho fun to see the scenery changing as you go down south in England then down south some more in France. You get the ferry ride too which is quite cool. www.eurolines.com

I'd get the plane though, £70 is great really and it'll be much more comfortable.

I went on a coach recently, it did take a long time but I enjoyed it, depends how long you are going for though coz it does take up almost 2 days of the trip.
