Heyyy,
I'm new to this but heard it could be a good place to find some band members!
I know this is supposed to be in the 'Band' section but I thought i'd post it in this bit too and at the same time, introduce myself...
I've been singing solo for a good few years now, doing paid gigs for just over a year. Although this has been very beneficial, I am sick of singing covers!
I have lots of lyrical and melodic ideas, but I don't play an instrument so find it hard to materialise them...this is where I need some help...
I would describe my voice as; melodic yet soulful and powerful, I am open to all genres of music, but I still hope to maintain my own style. My influences range from northern soul and motown greats like Aretha and Luther, to Stereophonics, to Kelly Clarkson and more recently I love Amy Winehouse's sound (before she got so cracked up!)

Tbh, i'd like to try a lot of possibilities at the moment, more jamming with different people to find the best style for me...
More, 60's kind of inspired mixed with you know Kelly Clarksons kinda style...you get what I mean? (I know you may find that lame loike!)

Yeah, I kinda guessed that but thought it would be worth a try, i'm doing a few things at uni too so we shall see..
I'm not singing at the restaurant now, got borrrring, I just do pubs, clubs and events, you know the shizzle, I hate singing other peoples songs though!!!

Good Luck anyway with it all, hopefully someone will snap you up for something decent musically, it's abit of a slog around here finding band members so take your time in finding the right bunch, This place was extremely helpful in getting Chaotix together so hopefully there'll be some people out there who'll get the best out of you.

Oh too, No doubts the Prestone Perverts will be out in full force in about 5,4,3,2,1........lol. Enjoy:eek:

Other than that I was contracted to a restaurant from aug last year to june this year so wasn't allowed to do any other gigs :(
