after an impressive first gig at the Ferret, i am pleased to annouce the second all metal gig on Sunday 14th September (freshtastic)
Its alll FREE. the sound will be ACE.
and, as the last gig proved, even though its a sunday, you can see all bands, spend a tenner on quality beer and get merry, be in bed by 11pm and wake up hangover free. what else is there to do on a Sunday?
"You Will Fail", fresh from a Battle of the Bands final appearence will play in the ferrit for the 1st time ever. hopefully as preston's finest band?FAIL (http://www.myspace.com/youwillfail)
As will "Force of Habit", with Gemmaroid providing power house vocals to 'Habits" melodic metal mayhem Habit (http://www.myspace.com/forceofhabituk)

perhaps few days before. folk work etc and say they can't make soundcheck till 7 or summat, which upsets the equilibrium of the night

well, we hope that this one will be better than the 1st (unlike the dark knight)
if so, there is defo a halloweeny one in October.
so, for the time being, aye a monthly FREE metal event.
with VIP guest access to Mojito's afterwards :p

nothing went wrong, just folk i thought would have been supporting the fledging metal scene in preston would have shown up, alas they didn't
there is still scope for more folk to come along. after all, its a FREE gig in the BEST small venue in Preston

I love Sunday nights for that.
Not only is this the very same day that my babysitter moves to Preston but I am also working that evening so I will not be able to come :(

Jackpot Golden Boys were absolutely incredible! Will see them again when arseholed (driving fail tonight) and I bet I'll enjoy it even more! Destined for very big things I reckon, but wtf do I know...
A pleasure as ever to share the stage with our friends in the blisteringly awesome FOH! I really value a band if they make me want to just give up playing out of their mastery, and these guys (and doll) do it in spades!
Our set was interesting... Big props to Welly for getting up there and doing a set while he's ill and had a f*cked up throat (even if he did get pretty shitfaced to accomplish it!), and to the other two douches, Donkey Boy and Log Licker, for keeping the Fail trian rolling even when it might have derailed once or twice...:whistle:
Cheers to all the folk who came down tonight, it's awesome to play to so many beautiful people! Special thanks to those who've seen us fooking loads because of BOTB, but still come and represent for us, you rule so hard it leaves a crease! We are next playing Halloween night at Bittersuite, which gives us time to get some of our new songs ready for your dirty metal pleasure, and hopefully spend some time in the studio too!
It was great to work with the legendary Dan again, and the bar staff were very helpful too...

Was a very good night thanks to all involved and to all who supported this event.
I enjoyed myself a little more than usual. Those house vodkas seemed to hit me where it hurts. It was an awsome night. 1st time seeing Jackpots... they were fun, good guys aswell. I aint seen FoH for a good year or so and although they have obviously changed a bit, there still Rockin hard as ever. As for the Fail crew. As usual, full of awsome music, silly antics and unplanned mistakes. Deff gotta agree with Jonny when he talks about how other bands just make ya wanna jack it in as this is what the fail do for me. But ive been told im not allowed to jack it in :)
