Hi there!

Firstly, just to let you know I'm new to the forum and I'm hoping I've posted this in the right place!

My names Stuart - Station Manager of Preston Student Television. This up and coming year, we are hopefully going to produce a new programme called "The Sessions!" or something along those lines. This is where a band comes in and plays for around 30 minutes.

I'm on this forum to see if anyone is willing to come and play? No payments involved, and its a bit of a low-tech setup - HOWEVER, you will have 30 minutes of music on DVD for free, shot rather nicely by a few television makers. We're in the Students Union building of the SU, so were not too far away. Feel free to give me an e-mail/message/facebook if your up for it! Or just post below!

It's a really good project and hope you'll be participating! Cheers...

Stu!

We'll come and do something, but we're superstar DJs instead of a band. But I jump about loads, if that helps.

We're Shit Though (http://www.myspace.com/beatsofrage)

Welcome also!

Seeing as I stopped flaming spelling errors three years ago, I'm going to praise the utter awesomeness and hilarity of this one.

And perhaps also point out, as you're here, that HFA would be well up for this (as long as I can wear my dress of course).

You'll find us at here (http://www.myspace.com/heavyfluidaddicts)

We're probably the most photogenic band in Preston, so featuring us is a no brainer really :D

Hey, as I said slightly earlier, amazed at the response on here... We'd really like to welcome quite a lot of you - didn't think a lot of bands would be interested.

Just so you know what we are like... Here's a sample clip we did on a dance show. Not our best work (or working conditions) but, shot live, without rehersal. The equipment we're getting in the studio will hopefully be quite decent (no bbc standard of course :P)
We were also in locked positions, as it also had a live audience ;)

Anyway, keep showing your interest... I've got a feeling that this could possibly be our signature show!

Yeah, the dance show footage was well back in the day aswell, our equipment has advanced a bit since then. I'm in talks to try and get it in a bar where we film - but at the moment it looks like we'll have to dress up a driary class room!!!

Loving the enthusiasm, I can't bloomin wait to get this started. Our studio is currently being built along with all our new equipment.

Also, I'd like to know how much equipment you'd normally bring to a gig... We've got all the tv stuff, but were finding it difficult to purchase monitors and large speakers... Was just wondering if some people could help out on that front! As I say, its all about the budget!

I'll be contacting loads of you very shortly about further discussion - we're filming a pilot soon hopefully (next few weeks???) and I'll get that on here for you guys to look at!
