No probs. I recommend some hefty F5ing when they go onsale. I made my year 11 class wait for ten minutes while I ordered my Glasgow ones last time.

Awesome. Aside from Tom Waits, he's the best thing I've ever seen live. The noise The Bad Seeds make is unbelievable.

Getting really excited about this already, they're basically my only favourite artist that I've yet to see live (apart from Isis). My girlfriend actually giggled with glee when I told her I'd got her a ticket for it too, heh.

Aye, can't wait. There's only Mick with me, so if you're up for a carshare, I well am.

Sounds good to me :bingo: You doing the driving though? Driving in Manchester scares me shitless.

Oh dear god, gaiz. I hope you don't bang on about this forever once you've been.

It's one thing when kids get their pants all wet for Girls Aloud and quite another when grown men fawn over other grown men.

We know they're the finest artists currently operating in rock music. It doesn't make you any more like them the more you talk about their radness.

Mid 80s. It takes time, man.

Any idea if there's support? Or how long set he usually does? Enquiring minds want to know...

I'll be going to this tonight, and tutting and shaking my head grumpily on behalf of Dave

You better.

You going with Moody? He asked me to go, but I couldn't come due to the Prestone Nick Cave sycophancy club likely irritating me a bit much.

Wait for the applause to start to tail off, then shout "YER SHIT"

That didn't happen, but someone shouted "I'VE HAD YOUR MUM"

That was good

Nah just looking cool as hell. And all that sexual thrusting made me swoon.

Tupelo. Woah.

MUCH better than the Glasgow gig, which was at that point the best thing I'd ever seen (then I saw Tom Waits, and now I'm just not sure). The entire set was perfect, but highlights included 'Tupelo', 'We Call Upon The Author', 'Get Ready For Love', 'Hardon For Love', 'Deanna', 'The Weeping Song' and a particularly perfect (and uncharacteristically accurate, lyrically speaking) 'The Mercy Seat'.

Sheer perfection.
