I've never been to one. Line-ups have never quite convinced me, apart from the Sebastian one last year.

Some of these, however, look fantastic.

I reckon Bumrug will be up for the Ed one too.

You are a right gimp.

J2TheH
25-07-2008, 02:25 PM
You are a right gimp.

It was always, "well, the line-up looks alright."

Was never, "Woah! All them artists are mint."

It were just one or two.

Plus, I don't do drugs, so the music has to be awfully good for me to last all that time.

Joe
25-07-2008, 02:26 PM

Pish speaks the truth James, the line-ups have been awesome for 2 years now

i've nothing to buy till Christmas after summer. im going to about 3 a month

jesus_nightside_eclipse
25-07-2008, 02:29 PM
The Ape and Squarepusher ones look good, Valve looks ok only if Goldie somehow gets cancelled, and the Ed Banger one might be ok because some of that stuff is much better live than on record.

Pish
25-07-2008, 02:29 PM
i've nothing to buy till Christmas after summer. im going to about 3 a month

Well, Leeds is too expensive for me so what I'll save by going Creamfields will be spent on tickets for this.

J2TheH
25-07-2008, 02:29 PM
Pish speaks the truth James, the line-ups have been awesome for 2 years now

For you, maybe.

It always seemed to have one or two really good acts on, then a lot of filler. This wasn't worth travelling to Manchester for, for me.

The Ed Banger one this year though, looks awesome. The decent acts on the label turning up, and Justice doing a DJ set. Sounds like the tits to me. And They'll play some metal.

the headliners are always finished by about 2

But you lot aren't, so I have to get a train home alone, or stick around. And if the music isn't good enough, then it becomes a tad rubbitch.

25-07-2008, 02:29 PM

Yeah, totally.

There's not really many bad clashes with our future BoR dates either which is nice.

I don't either but it was always awesome! Don't need drugs to have a good time at WP. You usually find as well that the parts of the line-up you don't know tend to be awesome!

Not usually. It goes on til 5am.

But you lot aren't, so I have to get a train home alone, or stick around. And if the music isn't good enough, then it becomes a tad rubbitch.

You need to get some stamina!
I was just on the government-sanctioned drugs one night (booze), and had to wait til 4am for Kissy Sellout. I couldn't stand up by the end of his set.

Headliners always go on around the middle though. Coldcut were on about 2 last time, think Marcus Intalex closed after about 2 other acts.

True, but if I know the night is gonna be jam-packed with awesome, then I go full of excitement and vigour.

PLUS them French boys play world exclusives. All the time. They get them first, and that's one of the most exciting parts for me.

You need to get some stamina!

Most disappointing act of Glasto.

Most disappointing act of Glasto.

He's been awful for a while though. All horns and random shit. He tries to hard to be different.

Some mulleted knob on a key-tar. UGFH.

He was best when he started.

Justice DJ set will be good though, eh?!?! They're supposed to be dead good when they're not playing their album off iTunes, and you're paying to watch them smoke and operate the air conditioning.

But MAYBE we're thinking of different EVENTS?
Doesn't really matter, cos James'll be on his way home by midnight.

It's generally from 10pm til 5am, so there's a long period of entertainment.

I was v. lucky to get guest passes for the They Came From Detroit WP last year, can't say I remember any of the DJs, alas, but t'was a top (and long) night. Never mind missing the last train, I was half way through the next day before I stumbled out of the venue :)

I am hoping beyond all reason that I can guest list again - here goes for Squarepusher!

they will sell out even quicker this year, only through people catching on, i dont think the line up is as good as the last. more popular tho'.

still, i'm ordering mine early for the whole season like last year. if you dont use them you can sell em on for double.

weird, no soulwax/2manydj's this time round? i suppose they will be the unannounced nights. erol's only doin one night aswell?

Woah Green Velvet just announced same night as Prydz. I.need.to.go.to.this.

CAJMERE & GREEN VELVET ADDED TO THE STORE STREET SPECIAL FOR DECEMBER 6TH!!

Another confirmation just in… Chi Town legend Cajmere / Green Velvet has been added to the bill for the Dec 6th party.

Curtis Jones aka Cajmere and Green Velvet is one of the true greats of Chicago house. In the nineties, his label Cajual was pivotal in the Chicago house renaissance exemplified by the Cajmere single ‘Brighter Days’ with vocalist Dajae. Jones later formed the sub-label Relief to showcase his flambuoyant alter ego Green Velvet, said to be inspired by Prince and Kraftwerk. As Green Velvet he produced house and techno with quirky spoken word vocals such as ‘Preacher Man’, ‘Flash’ and ‘Answering Machine’. His second Green Velvet album is best known for the single ‘La la land’ - a tribute to the wonders of ecstasy - while the current third album has produced the catchy single ‘Shake and Pop’.

Green Velvet was on truly blazing form last time he played the warehouse before Miss Kittin. A true legend in house and techno…

Full line-up for this one now includes:Eric Prydz, Dusty Kid, Format3, Krysko, Andro & Dimmit and many more.
