Hi folks.

Sorry for the deja vu, but it's proper this time... we ain't making a big deal of it like we did last time, mostly because it's real and a bit sad too.

So yeah, the rumours are true. We done sacked our singer, Stevie Guy, after she went too far by placing a live baby inside Adrian's drumkit during a gig and kicking it. Personally I wanted to get rid of her when she ate that lizard live on stage, but I'm a forgiving chap. Still, she out like flares. Or something equally ridiculous.

But guess what chaps, we're not monsters and we'll be playing our last show in the incarnation of Y'r Impossible on the 9th August 2008, with our good friends Star27 and a battered up version of Armrug. If you're going down in flames, take someone down with you, we say. Expect the usual fare, with some special surprise performances, in honour of Stevie's visiting American chum, Pheonix.

Needless to say, after the show, I'll be downing more vodka than one man can handle and lamenting the passing of a great band. And Y'r Impossible.

Oh, seeing as people keep asking us if star27 are splitting up too, may as well come clean with an OFFICIAL STATEMENT TO THE PRESS (i await mocking from the Basketball Warriors)

After 5 years hard work star27 have decided to take a break from the commitments of gigging and recording as a band in order to spend some time pursuing other projects and personal goals. This is not a split per se, but we have no plans to gig or record in the near future.

The recently recorded singles 'stretchy' and 'get a grip' will still be released for international download, with 'stretchy' available now (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=283519051&s=143444), and 'get a grip' out in September. Also, all sites will remain active to keep you updated as to what band members are up to both individually and in future collaborations.

Thanks to everyone for their support at all times, and please keep in touch.

Russ is clearly miserable all the time because of the creative limitations Frank Beaver puts on him. You can tell he wants to go solo, and let that voice of his soar, but you keep him in check, and make him be half the superstar he could be.
