If it ain't on the first page of a search for "lyrics", I'm saying it's dead and we start a new one, hence this. And this time let's try not to let it degenerate into loads of bollocks teenage poetry about how much you like cutting yourself, all women are untrustworthy and politicians are, like, hypocrites, m'kay? Stuff that's funny or touching or interesting or summat. I'll go first:
ANIMALS THAT SWIM - East Street O'Neill
Someone got shot dead round here
People left flowers by the Ribena stains on the pavement
Friends, neighbours, strangers.
A million blooms.
One day dusty, the next wet and ragged - so guess what?
I took them all home with me in a wheelbarrow
Filled the bathroom from floor to ceiling and - listen...
There was no divine damnation, no cosmic retribution.
Once the petals wilted I pressed them all flat in the largest book I've got.
On wet days
The ghost sits
In the kitchen,
Leafing through it.
He's not grey nor wraithlike,
But bright and solid,
Like a new bike.
Looks at the faded colours
And plays the radio too loud
And leaves a damn mess
Of fag butts
And tea leaves.

scott walker - world's strongest man
As the morning turned my way
See birds flying through this hazy face
And I came back here to replace your place in my life
And didn't you know that I'm not the world's strongest man
When it comes to you and your world I'm lost
Can't you see the towers of mine they could shine like a dime
Take me back again to your warm desire
And again again again
Longing for belongings here again
And I need your love you know I can't pretend anymore
And didn't you know that I'm not the world's strongest man
When it comes to you and your world I'm lost
Can't you see the towers of mine they could shine like a dime
Take me back again to your warm desire

and some more - the old man is back again (dedicated to the neo-stalinist regime)
I seen a hand, I seen a vision
It was reaching through the clouds, To risk a dream
A shadow cross the sky
And it crushed into the ground, Just like a beast
The old man's back again
The old man's back again
I seen a woman, standing in the snow
She was silent as she watched them take her man
Teardrops burned her cheeks
for she thought she'd heard, The shadow had left this land
The old man's back again
The old man's back again
The crowds just gathered, their faces turned away
And they queue all day like dragons of disgust
All the women whispering
Wondering just what these young hot-heads want of us
And entres vie he cries
with eyes that ring like chimes
His anti-worlds go spinning through his head
He burns them in his dreams
for half awake they may as well be dead
The old man's back again
I see he's back again
I see a soldier, He's standing in the rain
For him there's no old man to walk behind
Devoured by his pain
bewildered by the faces who pass him by
He'd like another name the one he's got's a curse
These people cried
Why can't they understand
His mother called him Ivan then she died
The old man's back again
The old man's back again
I can see him back again

Guess who anyone who knows me.
Murder by Death - End of the Line.
All the kids have run inside,
grabbed a spot under the stairs.
They've barricaded all the windows,
and rigged the doorknobs shut with chairs.
What are they waiting for, they don't know.
They just keep their fingers crossed, and maybe,
pray to mary or, jesus christ.
I can hear them knocking down the door.
The wait it is over, this bottle is done.
So we clench our fists and fight our demons.
There's a girl with a flower pot full of dirt and bullet shells,
she puts it by her window, gives it sunlight,
restores its health.
After a month or two the shells start to grow
into branches of barbed wire.
They spread across the walls the windows and the floors
and their grip never tires.
The wait it is over, this bottle is done.
So we clench our fists and fight our demons.
(lay low, lay low) keep your head down.
(lay low, lay low) listen for the sound
of the dusty train that's comin' to sweep us all away,
I can hear the rails come rattlin' against the hectic fray
so set the bone with a cardboard split
and strike the nail against the flint
and set the fields on fire.
let the devil come.
let him come.
I'll be waitin' for him this time
I am stronger now and I can fight it
I'll be waitin' at the end of the line
I'll be waiting
this time.
I'll be waitin' for him this time
I am stronger now and I can fight it
I'll be waitin' at the end of the line
at the end of the line.

Splendid-Charge
The way you love
Have you got a name for it
Cause I don't understand it
The language is an annoying necessity
And I depend on all the regular things
Got a list tattooed on my memory
Of how our tryst should unfold
I'm falling from the opposite
What good is it
Fight the map with no key attached
My heart's enlarged and I charge
What do you say
To a dream that won't go away
Cause I don't know if I can stand it
Forever isn't something you want to be
And I rely on familiar things
Seven days all have special meanings
But you just call it a week
I'm falling from the opposite
What good is it
Fight the map with no key attached
My heart's enlarged and I charge
I'm falling from the opposite
What good is it
Fight the map with no key attached
My heart's enlarged and I charge
The night is young
And the moon is a mother to both of us
We both understand this
Marriage is an old and tired religion
And I love all the traditional things
Domestic bliss and all that shit
Confusion is a definite direction
I'm falling from the opposite
What good is it
Fight the map with no key attached
My heart's enlarged and I charge
I'm falling from the opposite
What good is it
Fight the map with no key attached
My heart's enlarged and I charge
I'm falling from the opposite
What good is it
Fight the map with no key attached
My heart's enlarged and I charge

Formed a band, we formed a band, look at us, we formed a band x 4
Honeypie, I don’t know when it started, stop buying your albums from the supermarket.
They only sell records that have charted, and Art Brut, we’ve only just started.
And yes, this is my singing voice, it’s not irony, it’s not Rock & Roll, we’re just talking, to the Kids.
Formed a band, we formed a band, look at us, we formed a band x 4
We’re gonna be the band that writes the song that makes Israel and Palestine get along.
We’re gonna write a song as universal as happy Birthday, that makes sure everybody knows that everything is going to be OK, we’re going to take that song and we’re going to play it 8 weeks in a row on Top of the Pops.
Formed a band, we formed a band, look at us, we formed a band x 4
Die your hair black, never look back, my past is my business.

I still hate Art Brut for not immediately breaking up after releasing this single. It's basically perfect, so what was the point of putting anything else out?
And my favourite lyric ever is this one by the boy Eno:
All the clouds turn to words
All the words float in sequence
No-one knows what they mean
Everyone just ignores them

Some of the finst hip-hop lyrics ever, for your pleasure. Some of the greatest flow I have ever heard, and almost absolves Ice Cube for his later musical sin of 'You Can Do It (Put Your Back Into It)
NWA- **** Tha Police
Right about now NWA court is in full effect.
Judge Dre presiding in the case of NWA versus the police department.
Prosecuting attourneys are MC Ren Ice Cube and Eazy mutha****in E.
Order order order. Ice Cube take the mutha****in stand.
Do you swear to tell the truth the whole truth
and nothin but the truth so help your black ass?
Why don't you tell everybody what the **** you gotta say?
**** tha police
Comin straight from the underground
Young nigga got it bad cuz I'm brown
And not the other color so police think
They have the authority to kill a minority
**** that shit, cuz I ain't tha one
For a punk mutha****a with a badge and a gun
To be beatin on, and throwin in jail
We could go toe to toe in the middle of a cell
****in with me cuz I'm a teenager
With a little bit of gold and a pager
Searchin my car, lookin for the product
Thinkin every nigga is sellin narcotics
You'd rather see me in the pen
Then me and Lorenzo rollin in the Benzo
Beat tha police outta shape
And when I'm finished, bring the yellow tape
To tape off the scene of the slaughter
Still can't swallow bread and water
I don't know if they fags or what
Search a nigga down and grabbin his nuts
And on the other hand, without a gun they can't get none
But don't let it be a black and a white one
Cuz they slam ya down to the street top
Black police showin out for the white cop
Ice Cube will swarm
On any mutha****a in a blue uniform
Just cuz I'm from the CPT, punk police are afraid of me
A young nigga on a warpath
And when I'm finished, it's gonna be a bloodbath
Of cops, dyin in LA
Yo Dre, I got somethin to say
**** the police (4X)
Yoshiro Go!
Yoshiro, go, go, home
Wow, I'm like, well deep at writing this stuff....

I had jade colored eyes that shimmered in the sun,
if you stared at them too long,
you'd catch a glimpse of what I've done.
The faces of the damned,
and all the butchered lambs...
If I had to do it over,
I just woulda done it slower.
When we meet, you will see;
I will destroy everything of beauty.
When we meet then you'll know;
I'll be the axe that clears the forest.
When I had my fill,
and tasted every kill...
There was nothin' left to do,
but bow out of this old world.
I heard tell of a place
where the dead walk tall and proud;
Where men like me were needed
to thin the growing crowd.
Deep below the dunes I roved...
Past the rows, past the rows,
beside the acacias freshly in bloom;
I sent men to their doom.
I spent those days runnin' hard and fast
with no place to lay my head.
The sound of the rain against the roof was loud enough to wake the dead.
And my legs were tired, and my feet were cold;
but all i could do was get back on the road.
So I came upon a shanty town full of bitter men,
where carved into a crude wood sign it read
"welcome to the end"...
For a dollar you could find a girl of every possible design,
But you couldn't find a decent man, or a word spoken kind.
Whiskey was for supper, a man couldn't ask for better!
When we meet you will see
I will detroy everything of beauty.
When we meet, then you'll know...
I'll be the axe that clears the forest.
I spent those days runnin' hard and fast
with no place to lay my head.
The sound of the rain against the roof was loud enough to wake the dead.
And my legs were tired, and my feet were cold,
all i could do was get back on the road.
We were left alone,
left alone,
every king on his lonely throne.
We were left alone,
left alone,
every king on his lonely throne.
.. because I just saw it and it was stunning.

GREEN AND GREY
(Heaton/Sullivan) 1987
The time I think most clearly, the time I drift away
Is on the bus-ride that meanders up these valleys of green and grey
I get to think about what might have been and what may yet come true
And I get to pass a rainy mile thinking of you
And all the while, all the while, I still hear that call
To the land of gold and poison that beckons to us all
Nothing changes here very much, I guess you'd say it never will
The pubs are all full on Friday nights and things get started still
We spent hours last week with Billy boy, bleeding, yeah queuing in Casualty
Staring at those posters we used to laugh at:
Never Never Land, palm trees by the sea
Well there was no need for those guys to hurt him so bad
When all they had to do was knock him down
But no one asks to many questions like that since you left this town
Ch: And tomorrow brings another train
Another young brave steals away
But you're the one I remember
From these valleys of green and the grey
You used to talk about winners and losers all the time - as if that was all there was
As if we were not of the same blood family, as if we live by different laws
Do you owe so much less to these rain swept hills than you owe to your good self?
Is it true that the world has always got to be something
That seems to happen somewhere else?
For God's sake don't you realise that I still hear that call
Do you think you're so brave just to go running to that which beckons to us all?
Ch: No, not for one second did you look behind you
As you were walking away
Never once did you wish any of us well
Those who had chosen to stay
And if that's what it takes to make it
In the place that you live today
Then I guess you'll never read these letters that I send
From the valleys of the green and the grey

prince - sister
I was only 16 but I guess that's no excuse
My sister was 32, lovely, and loose
She don't wear no underwear
She says it only gets in her hair
And it's got a funny way of stoppin' the juice
My sister never made love to anyone else but me
She's the reason for my, uh, sexuality
She showed me where it's supposed to go
A blow job doesn't mean blow
Incest is everything it's said to be
Oh, sister
Don't put me on the street again
Oh, sister
I just want to be your friend
I was only 16 and only half a man
My sister didn't give a goddamn
She only wanted to turn me out
She [took a whip to] me until I shout
"Oh, [mother****ersjustamother****er]
Can't you understand?"
Oh, sister
Don't put me on the street again
Oh, sister
I just want to be your friend
I know what you want me to do
Put me on the street
And make me blue
Oh, sister, oohoohoooow

Ridin' down the highway, goin' to a show
Stop in all the by-ways, playin' rock 'n' roll
Gettin' robbed, gettin' stoned
Gettin' beat up, broken boned
Gettin' had, gettin' took
I tell you folks, it's harder than it looks
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock 'n' roll
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock 'n' roll
If you think it's easy doin' one night stands,
Try playin' in a rock roll band
It's a long way to the top, if you wanna rock 'n' roll
Hotel, motel, make you wanna cry
Lady do the hard sell, know the reason why
Gettin' old, gettin' grey
Gettin' ripped off, under-paid
Gettin' sold, second-hand
That's how it goes playin' in a band
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock 'n' roll
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock 'n' roll
If you wanna be a star of stage and screen, look out it's rough and mean
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock 'n' roll
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock 'n' roll
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock 'n' roll
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock 'n' roll
Well, it's a long way, it's a long way, (they tell me)
It's a long way, such a long way

I've got a lot of old friends that're getting back in touch
And it's a pretty good feeling yeah it feels pretty good
I get a lot of double takes when I'm coming round the corners
And it's mostly pretty nice it's mostly pretty alright
'Cause most kids give me credit for being down with it
When it was back in the day back when things were way different
When the youth of today and the early seven seconds
Taught me some of life's most valuable lessons
There's gonna come a time when the scene'll seem less sunny
It'll probably get druggy and the kids'll seem too skinny
There's gonna come a time when she's gonna have to go
With whoever's gonna get her the highest
There's gonna come a time when the true scene leaders
Forget where they differ and get big picture
Cause the kids at their shows, they'll have kids of their own
The sing-a-long songs'll be our scriptures
We gotta stay positive
We gotta stay positive
We gotta stay positive
We gotta stay positive
When the chaperone crowned us the king and the queen
I knew that we'd arrived at a unified scene
And all those little lambs from my dreams
Well they were there too
Cause it's one thing to start it with a positive jam
And it's another thing to see it all through
And we couldn't of even done this if it wasn't for you
We gotta stay positive
We gotta stay positive
We gotta stay positive

Glen Hansard - Lies
I think it's time, we give it up
And figure out what's stopping us
From breathing easy, and talking straight
The way is clear if you're ready now
The volunteer is slowing down
And taking time to save himself
The little cracks they escalated
And before we knew it was too late
For making circles and telling lies
You're moving too fast for me
And I can't keep up with you
Maybe if you slowed down for me
I could see you're only telling
Lies, lies, lies
Breaking us down with your
Lies, lies, lies
When will you learn
The little cracks they escalated
And before we knew it was too late
For making circles and telling lies
You're moving too fast for me
And I can't keep up with you
Maybe if you'd slowed down for me
I could see you're only telling
Lies, lies, lies
Breaking us down with your
Lies, lies, lies
When will you learn
So plant the thought and watch it grow
Wind it up and let it go

Kiss me goodbye
Pushing out before i sleep
Can't you see i try
Swimming the same deep water as you is hard
"the shallow drowned lose less than we"
You breathe the strangest twist upon your lips
"and we shall be together..."
"kiss me goodbye bow your head and join with me"
And face pushed deep reflections meet
The strangest twist upon your lips and dissapear
The ripples clear and laughing break
Against your feet and laughing break the mirror sweet
"so we shall be together..."
"kiss me goodbye" pushing out before i sleep
It's lower now and slower now the strangest
Twist upon your lips but i don't see and i dont
Feel but tightly hold up silently my hands
Before my fading eyes and in my eyes your
Smile the very last thing before i go...
I will kiss you i will kiss you i will kiss you
Forever on nights like this i will kiss you i will
Kiss you and we shall be together...

I would tell you about the things
They put me through
The pain Ive been subjected to
But the lord himself would blush
The countless feasts laid at my feet
Forbidden fruits for me to eat
But I think your pulse would start to rush
Now Im not looking for absolution
Forgiveness for the things I do
But before you come to any conclusions
Try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes
Youll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes
If you try walking in my shoes
Morality would frown upon
Decency look down upon
The scapegoat fates made of me
But I promise you, my judge and jurors
My intentions couldnt have been purer
My case is easy to see
Im not looking for a clearer conscience
Peace of mind after what Ive been through
And before we talk of repentance
Try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes
Youll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes
If you try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes
Now Im not looking for absolution
Forgiveness for the things I do
But before you come to any conclusions
Try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes
Youll stumble in my footsteps
Keep the same appointments I kept
If you try walking in my shoes
Try walking in my shoes

If she asks, don't I'll tell her that I'm living hand-to-mouth.
Don't tell her that I'm sleeping on your couch.
And if she asks just tell her that we opened for the Stones,
It's her favourite band except for the Ramones.
And if she happens to suggest
A love based on trust and respect,
Tell I've been wasted since last week.
And if she wants to stop on by,
Tell her that I almost died.
Tell her I ain't seein' people yet.
Yeah but ask her to send cigarettes.
And if she calls don't tell her 'bout the bloodshed in the streets,
The less she knows the less she can repeat.
If she happens to bring up
The pin pricks and the throwin' up,
Tell her it's just part of growin' up.
If she wants to get involved,
Tell her to stay in St. Paul.
Tell her I ain't up for takin' calls,
But ask her for some Adderall.
Yeah 'cause we're gonna have to focus
If we're gonna fight this.
We gotta stay tenacious.
If she asks just tell her that we're too far gone to deal.
She should know exactly how that feels.
And if she wants a scene report,
Don't tell her 'bout the kicked in doors.
Tell her they ain't even keeping score no more.
And if she wants to help the cause,
Tell her we need tape and gauze.
Tell her she should look through all her medicine
To see if she's got Klonopin.
'Cause I got all this anxiety.
Yeah I'm afraid she won't get high with me,
I got all this anxiety.

AWESOMENESS.
Flight of the Conchords- The Most Beautiful Girl In The Room
Looking round the room,
I can tell that you
Are the most beautiful girl in the...room.
In the whole wide room
Oooh.
And when you're on the street
Depending on the street
I bet you are definitely in the top three
Good looking girls on the street
Depending on the street
And when I saw you at my mate's place
I thought what...is...she...doing...
At my mate's place
How did Dave get a hottie like that to a party like this
Good one Dave!!!
Ohhhh you're a legend, Dave!
I asked Dave if he's going to make a move on you
He's not sure
I said "Dave do you mind if I do?"
He says he doesn't mind
but I can tell he kinda minds
but I'm gonna do it anyway
I see you standing all alone by the stereo
I dim the lights down very low, here we go
You're so beautiful
You could be a waitress
You're so beautiful
You could be an air hostess in the 60s
You're so beautiful
You could be a part...time...model
And then I seal the deal
I do my moves
I do my dance moves
It's twelve oh two
Just me and you
And seven other dudes
Around you on the dance floor
I draw you near
Let's get outta here
Let's get in a cab
I'll buy you a kebab!
Now I can't believe
That I'm sharing a kebab with the most beautiful girl I have ever seen
With a kebab
Ooooooohhh.
Why don't we leave?
Let's go to my houseand we can feel each other up on the couch
Oh no. I don't mind taking it slow-ho-ho, no-ho-ho, yeah.
Cause you're so beautiful
Like a, tree
Or a high-class prostitute
You're so beautiful
Mmm, you could be a part-time model
But you'd probably have to keep your normal job
A part-time model!
Spending part of your time, modelling,
and part of your time, next to meeeeeeeeee!
My place is usually tidier than this...

Ted Leo, 'The Ballad of The Sin Eater'
When you run, digger, runner
Listener, thief, you carry it all with you
Today I woke up uncertain
And you know that gives me the fits
So I left this land of fungible convictions
Because it seemed like the pits
And when I say, "conviction" I mean it's something to abjure
And when I say "uncertain" I mean to doubt I'll not turn out a caricature
So I set off in search of my forebears
Coz my forbearance was in need
But the only job I could get in dear old blighty
Was working on the railway between Selby and Leeds
So I took a ferry to Belfast, where I had cause to think:
They wanted none of my arm-chair convictions
But nobody seemed to mind when I was putting on the drinks!
And you didn't think they could hate you, now did you?
You didn't think they could hate you, now did you?
You didn't think they could hate you, now did you?
Ah, but they hate you, and they hate you 'coz you're guilty
So...I stayed out all night in Ibiza
By way of San Sebastian, where they said
'Yanque, you better watch what you're saying, unless you're sayin'
It in Basque or in Catalan!"
So all the way east to Novi-Sad
Where narry a bridge was to be seen
But mother Russia, she laid her pontoons on down
So I crossed over, if you know what I mean...
Then on the road to Damascus, yes
The scales, they fell from my eyes
And the simplest lesson I learned at the mount of olices: everybody lies
And the french foreign legion
You know they did their best
But I never believed in T.E. Lawrence,
So how the hell could I believe in Beau Gest?
And you didn't think they could hate you, now did you?
You didnt think they could hate you, now did you?
You didnt think they could hate you, now did you?
Ah, but they hate you, and they hate you 'coz you're guilty
So...I spent a night in Kigali in a five diamond hotel
Where maybe someday, they'll do the wa-tutsi down in hutu hell
And I fell in with a merchant marine who promised to take me home
But when I woke up beaten and bloodied
I couldn't tell if it was Jersey or Sierra Leone!
And you didn't think they could hate you, now did you?
You didn't think they could hate you, now did you?
You didn't think they could have you, now did you?
Ah, but they hate you, and they hate you coz you're guilty...
And the knocking in my head, just like the knocking at my door
And maybe it was me or maybe it was my brother
But either me or me and him went down to the bar
Where I got seven powers in me for to give me the cure
But when seven powers failed to spin me
I had to get me seven more
And when I say, "me" I mean my brain
And when I say "give me the cure" I mean to kill the pain
And when I say "kill the pain" I meant to get the devil out
And when I say "devil" I mean the manifestation of doubt!
And you didnt think they could hate you
Now did you you didn't think they could hate you, now did you?
You didn't think they could hate you, now did you?
Ah, but they hate you, make no mistake - they hate you...

OM - At Giza
Rise aviator, sun will follow.
Aperture on door the wave form school.
Sentient ground of the light shrine shining.
Aperture on door the lind-hymn stone.
Sentient ground of the light shrine shining.
Aperture of door the lind-hymn stone.
The orbits arms oscillate to freedom.
Params the shore of celestial sea.
Rise aviator, sun will follow.
On aperture on door the wave form school.
Sentient ground of the light shrine shining.
Semblates the finite, to autumnate seen.
Electron sea, now set free, takes into the sky above on sentinel stream.
And grant to me, a light to see, and pilgrimage to mountain of the votaric form.
And lighten pon day, the solarics raise, falls upon the ziggurat electron school.
And reap upon field, the host moon fade away, glides the aeronaut toward the object form.
And lighten pon day, as scintillate rays, augurate arrival of a seraphic form.
From Lebanon reels, the obelisk seen, called now inverse upon the currenter-sign.
The matter form wanes, the host moon fades - takes into the sky ascends the freedomward dove.
The rite of fall sealed, descendant orb hails her, down to the ground of electron form.
And travel under twin suns rays, the host-moon fades, takes into the clesiast at oracle school.
An epison raise - the pole star fades, wakes into availed light of aurican form.
To reach a suns rays, through glowing bronze grace, leaves the lake and rises toward empyrean sun.
The swans array - the crane stands veiled grace, tunement to the omen of the object form.
And travel on toward the lighten pon day, on through a spine's gates - climbs the silken thread to cross a silvering sun.
The Orphic glow seen, as aural sounds ring, climbant to throne within on spine's attuned prow.
Empyrean rays, engulf the nine gates, dove ascends to freedom through a lantern filled sky.
Awakens from field, availed light's salving grace heralds arrival of the solar-object form.
Reemerge to breathe, the outform seen, vivified by illumined glow through auric-clad sheath.
An epison raise, the pole star fades, wakes into availed light of aurican form.
To reach a suns rays, of glowing bronze grace, leaves the lake and rises toward empyrean sun.
The swans array, the crane stands veiled grace, tunement to the omen of the object form.
And lighten pon day, as scintillate rays, augurate arrival of a seraphic form.
From Lebanon reels, the obelisk seen, called now inverse upon the currenter-sign.
The matter form wanes, the host moon fades, takes into the sky ascends the freedomward dove.
The of fall sealed, cremation now reclaims, bows toward the sun and sheds the object form.

Most of the time
I'm clear focused all around,
Most of the time
I can keep both feet on the ground,
I can follow the path, I can read the signs,
Stay right with it, when the road unwinds,
I can handle whatever I stumble upon,
I don't even notice she's gone,
Most of the time.
Most of the time
It's well understood,
Most of the time
I wouldn't change it if I could,
I can't make it all match up, I can hold my own,
I can deal with the situation right down to the bone,
I can survive, I can endure
And I don't even think about her
Most of the time.
Most of the time
My head is on straight,
Most of the time
I'm strong enough not to hate.
I don't build up illusion 'till it makes me sick,
I ain't afraid of confusion no matter how thick
I can smile in the face of mankind.
Don't even remember what her lips felt like on mine
Most of the time.
Most of the time
She ain't even in my mind,
I wouldn't know her if I saw her
She's that far behind.
Most of the time
I can't even be sure
If she was ever with me
Or if I was with her.
Most of the time
I'm halfway content,
Most of the time
I know exactly where I went,
I don't cheat on myself, I don't run and hide,
Hide from the feelings, that are buried inside,
I don't compromised and I don't pretend,
I don't even care if I ever see her again
Most of the time.

Ass, ass, titties, titties, ass 'n titties.

Broke-ass hoes, broke-ass hoes.
Hoes, hoes, hoes, hoes
If you a freaky-dancin' ho, keep shakin' that shit
Let's see how you shake it on top of my dick
And you'll say "Assault, I'm cuming. Assault, I'm cuming.
"Assault, I'm cuming. Assault, I'm cuming."
Cumin', Cumin', Cumin', Cumin'

Soap and water, Soap and Water

Just waking up in the morning gotta thank God
I don't know but today seems kinda odd
No barking from the dogs no smog
And momma cooked a breakfast with no hog
I got my grub on but didn't pig out
Finally got a call from a girl wanna dig out
Hooked it up on later as I hit the do'
Thinking will i live another twenty fo'
I gotta go cause I got me a drop top
And if I hit the switch, I can make the ass drop
Had to stop at a red light
Looking in my mirror not a jacker in sight
And everything is alright
I got a beep from Kim and she can **** all night
Called up the homies and I'm askin y'all
Which court, are y'all playin basketball?
Get me on the court and I'm trouble
Last week ****ed around and got a triple double
Freaking brothers everyway like M.J.
I can't believe, today was a good day
Drove to the pad and hit the showers
Didn't even get no static from the cowards
Cause just yesterday them fools tried to blast me
Saw the police and they rolled right past me
No flexin, didn't even look in a niggaz direction
as I ran the intersection
Went to $hort Dog's house, they was watchin Yo! MTV Raps
What's the haps on the craps
Shake em up, shake em up, shake em up, shake em
Roll em in a circle of niggaz and watch me break em
With the seven, seven-eleven, seven-eleven
Seven even back do' Joe
I picked up the cash flow
Then we played bones, and I'm yellin domino
and now i am yelling dominoes
Plus nobody I know got killed in South Central L.A.
Today was a good day
Left my niggaz house paid
Picked up a girl been tryin to **** since the twelve grade
It's ironic, I had the brew she had the chronic
The Lakers beat the Supersonics
I felt on the big fat fanny
Pulled out the jammy, and killed the punanny
And my dick runs deep so deep so deep
put her ass to sleep
Woke her up around one
she didn't hesitate, to call Ice Cube the top gun
Drove her to the pad and I'm coasting
Took another sip of the potion hit the three-wheel motion
I was glad everything had worked out
Dropped her ass off, then I chirped out
Today was like one of those fly dreams
Didn't even see a berry flashing those high beams
No helicopter looking for a murder
Two in the morning got the fat burger
Even saw the lights of the Goodyear Blimp
And it read Ice Cube's a pimp
Drunk as hell but no throwing up
Half way home and my pager still blowing up
Today I didn't even have to use my A.K.
I got to say it was a good day.
Hey wait, wait a minute fool
Stop the shit
What the **** am I thinking about

Yeah.. wife in law, my bitch for the triflin whore
Type of bitch to make a nigga get the right things for
Bitch sexy, and beautiful, and gangsta, and golden
Love to **** a nigga till the pussy dry and swollen
My lil' bitch had a figure like a wine glass
Slim bitch stackin like a muh****er with a fine ass
Word to mother; bitch nasty like me
Love to **** a nigga in places where people could see
The bitch send a chill like cold freezin a nigga
The way she holdin and bitin and suckin and squeezin a nigga
Down and dirty bitch never dick teasin a nigga
Got her own paper and focused on pleasin a nigga
She ain't out for gettin a nigga or ****in my life
She only wanna **** a nigga while he ****in his wife
There was nuttin she couldn't achieve
In the mornin bitch was across the street waitin for wifey to leave
Called me on the cell while the wife was runnin a bath
She can't wait for me to **** her, till I cum in her ass
Just a long-time chick I used to **** from the past
She love to out-**** a nigga, see how long I could last
It be nice the way she always let me dig in her rib
The bitch **** a nigga like she wanna move in my crib
Bitch I always knew ya ass was a star
In the daytime, whippin the droptop, givin me head in my car
[Chorus - Jaheim]
When a woman needs love, just like you do
Oh, don't kid yourself, into thinkin that you don't
Cuz she will fool around, just like you do
Ohh, don't kid yourself, into thinkin that she won't
[Busta Rhymes]
C'mere bitch and place ya pussy right where it belong
And put me in the mood to **** just like a Jodeci song
I love the little freaky shit you be approachin me on
Dick all in ya mouth, you know what type of shit I be on
The way the pussy lock feel like we about to be stuck
All outside busy, givin me the balcony ****
Hold on get up off of me quick
Bitch grab the X.O. and suck the Hennessey up off of my dick
So quick, so fast, bitch'll come out her skirt
**** a nigga till it hurt, while the wifey at work
The bitch'll even call her girl so I can **** with her friend
And fall asleep to wake up and start ****in again
Straigh nasty little bitch no horsin around
The bitch even want me to **** her when she walkin around
Hold up, it's kinda ill how we be workin the caper
She ain't only good for pussy, she be givin me paper
Wife-in-law, my bitch be always keepin it raw
Always slidin out before the wifey walk in the door
They way she **** me on straight for the night
Wifey still ain't make it home, I wonder if she workin late for tonight
Wifey actin funny style but I ain't ****in with that
She ain't call the crib so I wonder where wifey was at

When I met you last night baby
Before you opened up your gap
I had respect for ya lady
But now I take it all back
Cause you gave me all your pussy
And ya even licked my balls
Leave your number on the cabinet
And I promise baby, I'll give ya a call
Next time I'm feelin kinda horny
You can come on over, and I'll break you off
And if you can't f**k, that day, baby
Just lay back, and open your mouth
Cause I have never
met a girl
That I love
in the whole wide world
Well, if Kurupt gave a f**k about a bitch I'd always be broke
I'd never have no motherf**kin indo to smoke
I gets loced and looney, bitch you can't Do Me
Do we like BBD, you hoochie groupie?
I have no love for hoes
That's somethin I learned in the pound
so how the f**k am I supposed
to pay this hoe, just to lay this hoe
I know the pussy's mines, I'ma f**k a couple more times
And then I'm through with it, there's nothing else to do with it
Pass it to the homie, now you hit it
Cause she ain't nuthin but a bitch to me
And y'all know, that bitches ain't shit to me
i gives a f**k, why don't y'all pay attention
Approach it with a different proposition, I'm Kurupt
Hoe you'll never be my only one, trick ass beeeitch!
It ain't no fun, if the homies can't have none
Guess who back in the motherf**kin house
With a fat dick for your motherf**kin mouth
Hoes recognize, niggaz do too
'cause when bitches get skanless and pull a voodoo
What you gon do? You really don't know
So I'd advise you not to trust that hoe
Silly of me to fall in love with a bitch
Knowin damn well, I'm too caught up with my grip
Now as the sun rotates and my game grows bigger
How many bitches wanna f**k this nigga named Snoop
Doggy, I'm all the above
I'm too swift on my toes to get caught up with you hoes
But see, it ain't no fun, if my homies can't get a taste of it
Cause you know I don't love em
Whoa!
Hey, now ya know, inhale, exhale with my flow
One for the money, two for the btiches
Three to get ready, and four to hit the switches
In my Chevy, six-fo' Rad to be exact
With bitches on my side, and bitches on back
So back up bitch 'cause i'm strugglin, so get
off your knees and then start jugglin
these motherf**kin nuts in your mouth
It's me, Warren G the nigga with the clout
Whoo!
I used to hump my pillow at night.
The type of silent prayer to help myself prepare for the light.
Me and my cousin Duce would rank the girls between one and ten
and the highest number got to be my pillows pretend.
Now I apologize to every high ranker.
But you taught me how to dream and so I also thank you.
I never had the courage to approach you at school.
We joked around a lot and I know you thought I dressed cool.
But I was just covering up all the insecurities that came bubbling up.
My complexion had
me stuck in an emotional rut, 'like the time you Flavor Flaved me and you called me
"Yo Chuck, they say
you're too black, man".
I think I'm too black.
Mom, do you think I'm too black? I think I'm too black.
Black Stacey.
They called me Black Stacey.
I never got to be myself 'cause to
myself I always was Black Stacey, in polka dots
and paisley, a double goose
and bally shoes, you thought it wouldn't phase me.
I was Black Stacey.
the preachers' son from Haiti
who rhymed a lot and always got the dance steps at the party.
I was Black Stacey.
you thought it wouldn't phase me, but it did 'cause I was just a kid.
I used to use bleaching creme, 'til Madame CJ Walker walked into my dreams.
I dreamt of being white and
complimented by you, but the only shiny black thing that you liked was my shoes.
Now, I apologize for bottling up
all the little things you said that warped my head and my gut.
Even though I always told you not to
brag about the fact that your great grand
mother was raped by her slave master. Yeah, I became
militant too.
So it was clear on every level I was blacker than you.
I turned you on to Malcolm X and
Assata Shakur in my three quarter elephant goose with the fur.
I had the high top fade
with the steps on the side.
I had the two finger ring, rag top on the ride.
I had the sheep skin, name
belt, Lee suit, Kangol, acid wash Vasco, chicken and waffle.
Black Stacey.
They called me Black Stacey.
I never got to be myself 'cause to myself I always was Black Stacey, in polka dots
and paisley, a double goose and bally shoes, you thought it wouldn't phase me.
I was Black Stacey. the preachers'
son from Haiti who
rhymed a lot and always got the dance steps at the party.
I was Black Stacey.
Youthought it wouldn't phase me, but it did 'cause I was just a kid.
Now here's a little
message for you.
All you baller playa's got
some insecurities too, that you could cover up, bling it up, cash in
and ching ching it up, hope no
one will bring it up, lock it down and string it up.
Or you can share your essence with us, 'cause everything about you couldn't be rugged
and ruff.
And even though you tote a
glock and you're hot on the
streets, if you dare to share your heart, we'll nod our heart to
its beat.
And you should do that, if nothing else, to prove
that a player like you could keep it honest and true. Don't mean to call your bluff but
motha****a that's what I do.
You got platinum chain
then, son, I'm probably talking to you.
And you can call your gang, your posse and the rest of your crew.
And while you're at it get them addicts and the indigent too. I plan to have a whole army
by the time that I'm through to load their guns with songs they haven't sung.

Yeah,Uhh...
Uhh...
Yeah..
It's the worlds greatest, Yo,
It's the worlds greatest, Come on,
Worlds Greatest, Ever
I am a mountain
I am a tall tree
Oh, I am a swift wind
Sweepin' the country
I am a river
Down in the valley
Oh, I am a vision
And I can see clearly
If anybody asks u who I am
Just stand up tall look 'em in the Face and say
[Chorus]
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey, I made it
I'm the worlds greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my backs against the ropes
I can feel it mmm
I'm the worlds greatest
I am a giant
I am an eagle
I am a lion
Down in the jungle
I am a marchin' band
I am the people
I am a helpin' hand
And I am a hero
If anybody asks u who I am
Just stand up tall look 'em in the Face and say
[Chorus]
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
I made it
I'm the worlds greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my backs against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the worlds greatest
In the ring of life I'll reign love
(I will reign)
And the world will notice a king
(Oh Yeah)
When all is darkest, I'll shine a light
(Shine a light)
And use a success you'll find in me
(Me)
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey, I made it
I'm the world's greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the world's greatest
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey, I made it
I'm the world's greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the world's greatest
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey, I made it
I'm the world's greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the world's greatest
It's the greatest
Can you feel it
It's the greatest
Can you feel it
[Repeat * while:]
I saw the light
At the end of a tunnel
Believe in the pot of gold
At the end of the rainbow
And faith was right there
To pull me through, yeah
Used to be locked doors
Now I can just walk on through
Hey, uh, hey, hey, hey
It's the greatest
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey, I made it
I'm the world's greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the world's greatest

There's the moon asking to stay
Long enough for the clouds to fly me away
Though it's my time coming, I'm not afraid, afraid to die
My fading voice sings of love,
But she cries to the clicking of time,
Of time
Wait in the fire...
And she weeps on my arm
Walking to the bright lights in sorrow
Oh drink a bit of wine we both might go tomorrow,oh my love
And the rain is falling and I believe
My time has come
It reminds me of the pain I might leave
Leave behind
Wait in the fire...
And I feel them drown my name
So easy to know and forget with this kiss
But I'm not afraid to go but it goes so slow
Wait in the fire...

I, I still remember
How you looked
That afternoon
There was only you
You said it was just like a full moon
Blood beats faster in our veins
We left our trousers by the canal
And our fingers they almost touched
You should have asked me for it
I would have been brave
You should have asked me for it
How could I say no?
And our love could have soared
Over playgrounds and rooftops
Now every park bench screams your name
I kept your tie
I'd have gone wherever you wanted
And on that teacher's training day
We wrote our names on every train
Laughed at the people off to work
So monochrome and so lukewarm
And I could feel our days where becoming night
I could feel your heart beating across the grass
We should have run, I would go with you anywhere
I should have kissed you by the water
I still remember
OutKast - Spread
[Chorus 1]
I don't want to move too fast, but
Can't resist your sexy ass
Just spread, spread for me
(I can't, I can't wait to get you home)
Don't want to come on too strong, but
I'll play in you all day long
Just spread, spread for me
(I can't, I can't wait to get you home)
[Verse 1]
I... I can't read minds, but I can read yours
I think she says that she wants to pour your..
your... yourself all over me
What you think? I could be wrong, but peoples don't lie
And if they do, bu God, they must fry! (fry?!)
You know, like electric chair
The way you stare (yeah I'm there)
You committed a crime and I'm the victim
I've got an eye out for she who cries out passionately
We'll do things backwardly, forwardly, horizontally
I'm too young to be settling down
quick to change my mind tomorrow
So now can I borrow your timid torso
More so than your soul, honest me gotta be how I roll
F*ck the rhythm, f*ck the rhythm under your bosom
You're the prism, Shirley Chislom
Was the first, let's rehearse making a baby
Put in your order, I want a baby daughter
Dance on the tip of my tongue
Shake the clouds 'til there's no more wetness in them
Tell your homegirls that you will send them
A postcard from 3000... HARD!
[Hook 2]
Don't want to make you feel strange, but
Don't let these words be in vain, so
Spread, spread for me
(I can't, I can't wait to get you home)
Nature knows that I want you, but
Not unless you want me too, so
Spread, spread for me
(I can't, I can't wait to get you home)

Oh, well in 5 years time
We could be walking around a zoo
With the sun shining down over me and you
And there will be love in the bodies of the elephants too
And I'll put my hands over your eyes but you'll peek through
And there will be sun sun sun all over our bodies
And sun sun sun all down our necks
And there will be sun sun sun all over our faces
And sun sun sun so what the heck
'Cos I'll be laughing at all your silly little jokes
And we'll be laughing about how we used to smoke
All those stupid little cigarettes and drink stupid wine
'Cos it's what we needed to have a good time
But it was fun fun fun when we were drinking
And it was fun fun fun when we were drunk
And it was fun fun fun when we were laughing
And it was fun fun fun, oh it was fun
Oh, well I'll look at you and say it's the happiest I've ever been
And I'll say I know how you feel, I have to be james dean
And she'll say yeah well I feel oh pretty happy too
And I'm always pretty happy when I'm just kicking back with you
And it'll be love love love all through our bodies
And it'll be love love love all through our minds
And it'll be love all over her face
And love love love all over mine
And though really all these moments are just in my head
I'll be thinking about them as I'm lying in bed
And I know that really it might not even come true
But in my mind I'm having a pretty good time with you
Oh in 5 years time I might ont know you
In 5 years time we might not speak
In 5 years time we might not get along
In 5 years time you might just prove me wrong
Oh there will be love love love wherever you go
James

Just occasionally, when digging out the music you listened to when you were younger, you come across a corker. My recent corker has been relistening to Bad Religion's amazing punk records. This is "Don't Pray On Me" from Recipe For Hate:
A grizzly scene on my electron beam
Told a story about human rights
So all of King's horses and all of King's men
Had a riot for two days and nights
Well, the city exploded but the gates wouldn't open
So the company asked him to quit
Now everybody's equal
Just don't measure it
Well, Hanson did it to Hester
And Mark David did it to John
And maybe Jack did it to Marilyn
But he did it to South Vietnam
For beauty and glory
For money, love, and country
Now everybody's doing it
Don't do that to me
A bitter debate and a feminine fate
Lie in tandem like two precious babes
While the former gets warmer, it's the latter that matters
Except on the nation's airwaves
And custodians of public opinion stayed back
After vainly discussing her rights
Lay hands off her body
It's not your f*cking life
Now I don't know what stopped Jesus Christ
From turning every hungry stone into bread
And I don't remember hearing how Moses reacted
When the innocent first born sons lay dead
Well, I guess God was a lot more demonstrative
Back when he flamboyantly parted the sea
Now everybody's praying
Don't pray on me

Everybody's free to feel good
Everybody's free to feel good
Everybody's free
Brother and sister
Together we'll make it through
Some day a spirit will take you and guide you there
I know you've been hurting but I've been waiting to be there for you
And I'll be there just helping you out
Whenever I can
Ohh Ohh
Everybody's free to feel good
Everybody's free to feel good
We are a family that should stand together as one
Helping each other instead of just wasting time
Now is the moment to reach out to someone
It's all up to you
When everyone's sharing their hope
Then love will win through
Everybody's free to feel good
Everybody's free to feel good
Your all, all the joys under the sun all wrapped up into one.
The first verse of Biggies "Juicy", bloomin brilliant..
It was all a dream
I used to read Word Up magazine
Salt'n'Pepa and Heavy D up in the limousine
Hangin' pictures on my wall
Every Saturday Rap Attack, Mr. Magic, Marley Marl
I let my tape rock 'til my tape popped
Smokin' weed and bamboo, sippin' on private stock
Way back, when I had the red and black lumberjack
With the hat to match
Remember Rappin' Duke, duh-ha, duh-ha
You never thought that hip hop would take it this far
Now I'm in the limelight 'cause I rhyme tight
Time to get paid, blow up like the World Trade
Born sinner, the opposite of a winner
Remember when I used to eat sardines for dinner
Peace to Ron G, Brucey B, Kid Capri
Funkmaster Flex, Lovebug Starsky
I'm blowin' up like you thought I would
Call the crib, same number same hood
It's all good
I think you should all watch the video..

i cant believe that life is so complex
when i just want to sit here and watch you undress
broadcast
leave the red of your heart to decide
if you cannot choose which colour to use
i'll always wait
its never to late to colour me in
hole
i want to be the girl with the most cake
i love him so much it just turns to hate
i fake it so real i am beyond fake
and someday you will ache like i ache
sia
oh when are you coming around
cause soon i'll be sober and unkissed
i could spend the rest of my life happily posting in this thread!

Mightiest am I, but I am not alone in this cosmos of mine
For the black hills consist of black souls
Souls that already died one thousand deaths.
Behind the stone walls of centuries, they breed their black art
Boiling their spells in cauldrons of black gold
Far up in the mountains, where the rain falls not far, yet the sun cannot reach.
The wizards, my servants, summon the souls of macrocosm
No age will escape my wrath
I travel though time and I return to the future
I gather wisdom now lost
I visit again the eternally ancient caves, before a mighty Emperor thereupon came
Watching the mortals 'discovering' my chronicles
Guarded by the old demons, even unknown to me
Once destroyed to feast upon the screaming souls, that was destroyed in my
future
How many wizards that serve me with evil... I know not
My empires have no limits
From the never ending mountains black, to the bottomless lakes
I am the ruler and has been for eternity's long
My wizards are many, but their essence is mine
Forever they are in the hills, in their stone homes of grief
Because I am the spirit of their existence
I am them
I am them
I am them
Suicide Silence - Unanswered
How much must I curse your name
And put your beliefs to shame
Before you prove yourself
And end this life?
End this life
And I'll say a ****ing prayer
Because I know it won't be answered
Where is your god?
Where is your god?
Where is your ****ing god?
And even though I don't believe in you
I pray for the day
I pray for the day
That you end this life
So please
Take Me
Away
I want the hand of god
To come and strike me down
I want the hand of god
To come and strike me down
Where is your god?
Where is your god?
Where is your ****ing god?
For all the prayers that go unanswered
For all the prayers that go unanswered
Why do you think that is?
For the families that waste their time
Open your eyes
And all your prayers will go
Unanswered
Why do you think that is?
For the families that
waste their time
Open your ****ing eyes

When your day is long and the night, the night is yours alone,
When you're sure you've had enough of this life, well hang on
Don't let yourself go, 'cause everybody cries n everybody hurts sometimes
Sometimes everything is wrong. Now it's time to sing along
When your day is night alone, (hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go, (hold on)
If you think you've had too much of this life, well hang on
'Cause everybody hurts. Take comfort in your friends
Everybody hurts. Don't throw your hand. Oh, no. Don't throw your hand
If you feel like you're alone, no, no, no, you are not alone
If you're on your own in this life, the days and nights are long,
When you think you've had too much of this life to hang on
Well, everybody hurts sometimes,
Everybody cries. And everybody hurts sometimes
And everybody hurts sometimes. So, hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on
Everybody hurts. You are not alone
The most depressing thing about this lyrics is that on the site I pasted them from, there is a comments feature. Someone left this one:
"everybody hurts is such an amazin song and brings such sadness to my life cos i just wish my dad had of expressed his feelin wit the family instead of listenin to this song but he didnt hang on he let go :("
The reason I love these lyrics is because they remind me of a specific time and event in my life which I always think I've got over, but I never really have. These lyrics express, in my opinion, a very precise emotion that I cannot fully describe, it's kind of extreme sadness mixed with hope. This feeling does not match at all with the events the song reminds me of, and how I feel about them, but it's great song, and I think if I saw it performed live I'd just cry.

Stephen Lynch - Love Song.
If I had a hammer, I'd build a house for two.
And if I had a sailing ship, I'd take a trip with you.
And if I had a poets hand, I'd write a verse for thee.
And if I had the painter's touch, on canvas you'd be.
But I don't have a hammer
And I dont have a ship
So I can't build a house
And we can't take a trip
And I'll never be a poet
Nor have the painter's grace
So I'll never write you a verse
Nor immortalize your face
And also I have herpes...

You say it's fair, a labour source for the masses,
Providing cheap garments we can sell and brand,
As a new and hopeful answer to an existence so bland.
Open your eyes, as you don't need to buy.
You don't need to buy.
You don't need to buy.
And you do not have to be a coat hanger for a corporation in a market that's lost the plot.
And you decide if it's worth having their blood on your hands just to wear the latest Nikes.
Open your eyes, as you don't need to buy.
You don't need to buy.
You don't need to buy.
If I had a cape, that made me disappear,
I'd fly around the world for days just so I could hear,
The rich count their dimes, whilst the Africans cry,
Record it on a tape and stream it high across the sky.
Open your eyes, as you don't need to buy it.
Open your eyes, as you don't need to buy it.
Open your eyes, as you don't need to buy it.
Open your eyes, as you don't need to buy it.
Open your eyes, as you don't need to buy it.
Open your eyes, as you don't need to buy it.
Open your eyes, as you don't need to buy it.

"a lot of michael's songs can be seen as kinda sad or kinda hopeful.." to vaguely quote Mr Mills. Reno is similar for me (think that's the one he was on about).
Also, I think I did cry when I saw it once, all at night in a big park. Lots did. Weird.

What is evil? what is love?
What is the force that possesses us?
Where is the beauty? where is the truth?
Where is the force that watches over you?
What is it that makes us ashamed to be white?
(When we close our ears to the sound of machine gun fire)
And while the niggers of this world are starving
With their mouths wide open
What is it that turns the coins we throw at them
Into worthless little tokens?
Why is it that anything on this earth we do not understand
We are pushed onto our knees to worship or to damn?
Those are the rules of religion
Those are the laws of the land
That's how the forces of darkness have suppressed the spirit of man
That's why human beings still walk on all fours
Whilst in the presence of their so called superiors
Somethings telling you to wake up and salute
The dangers of obedience and the violence of truth
God is evil, god is love
God is the force that possesses us
God is beauty, god is truth
God is the force that is watching over you

Friends will be friends,
When you're in need of love they give you care and attention,
Friends will be friends,
When you're through with life and all hope is lost,
Hold out your hand cos friends will be friends right till the end

He knew what he wanted to say
But he did not want to word it
The dirty little Herbert
Was thinking an escape
But the place was well guarded
The guiltyness that started
Soon as the other part had stopped
D is for Delightful
And try and keep your trousers on
I think you should know you're his favourite worst nightmare
D is for...
Desperately trying to stimulate what it was that was alright
3 quarters of an hour ago
That had led him to be in a position
And every compromission
Another freak episode
He's nearing the brink but he thinks first
The parallel universe perhaps could be the perfect scene
He's nearing the brink but he thinks first
The parallel universe perhaps could be the perfect scene
He's nearing the brink but he thinks first
The parallel universe perhaps could be the perfect scene

You used to get it in your fishnets
Now you only get it in your night dress
Discarded all the naughty nights for niceness
Landed in a very common crisis
Everything's in order in a black hole
Nothing seems as pretty as the past though
That Bloody Mary's lacking a Tabasco
Remember when he used to be a rascal?
Oh the boy's a slag
The best you ever had
The best you ever had
Is just a memory and those dreams
But as daft as they seem
As daft as they seem
My love when you dream them up...
Flicking through a little book of sex tips
Remember when the boys were all electric?
Now when she tells she's gonna get it
I'm guessing that she'd rather just forget im
Clinging to not getting sentimental
Said she wasn't going but she went still
Likes her gentlemen to not be gentle
Was it a Mecca Dobber or a betting pencil?
Oh that boy's a slag
The best you ever had
The best you ever had
Is just a memory and those dreams
Weren't as daft as they seem
As daft as they seem
My love when you dream them up
Oh no, where did you go?
Where did you go?
Where did you go? Woah.

You were just sounded it out
You're not coming back again.

Love is a razor and I walked the line
On that silver blade
Slept in the dust with his daughter
Her eyes red with
The slaughter of innocence
But I will pray for her
I will call her name out loud
I would bleed for her
If I could only see her now
Living on a razors edge
Balancing on a ledge
Living on a razors edge
The evil that men do lives on and on...
The evil that men do lives on and on...
The evil that men do lives on and on...
The evil that men do lives on and on...
Circle of fire my baptism of joy and at an end it seems
The seventh lamb slain
The book of life opens before me
But I will pray for you
And some day I may return
I would die for you
Beyond is where I learn
The evil that men do lives on and on...
The evil that men do lives on and on...
The evil that men do lives on and on...
The evil that men do lives on and on...
Can't you see I'm easily bothered by persistence
One step from lashing out at you...
You want in to get under my skin
And call yourself a friend
I've got more friends like you
What do I do?
(Pre) Is there no standard anymore?
What it takes, who I am, where I've been
Belong
You can't be something you're not
Be yourself, by yourself
Stay away from me
A lesson learned in life
Known from the dawn of time
(Chorus)
Respect, walk
Run your mouth when I'm not around
It's easy to achieve
You cry to weak friends that sympathize
Can you hear the violins playing your song?
Those same friends tell me your every word
(Pre)
(Chorus)
Are you talking to me?

In the skin on my face
In the weak last gasp of the evening's dying light
In the way those eyes I've always loved illuminate your face
Like a trashcan fire in a prison cell
Like the searchlights in the parking lots of hell

If you will come all the way down with me

Fatima Mansions, "Popemobile To Paraguay"
The postmark read Asuncion...
By the foul Adriatic there can be some dramatic
Variations in the temperature
So you can’t recall which SS dress to wear
But the king of the papists is a friend of the rapists
And the upside-down crucifixion squad
So escape from sure defeat is thus arranged
A man with your knowledge of electrical goods
Should not be condemned because he’s misunderstood
Trip from Zagreb to Rome, and on to Asuncion
In the clothes of a bishop, the new beard being your own
You may think we look stupid, but we’re paying the rent
And we won’t trade our fortunes for a hippy tent
We’ve been all colours of angels with both wings on the right
And we’ve supped and we’ve coupled through our mystic life
Eternal city, firm and true, no naked crimson lights
Constant like an anthrax bomb, honest like a knife...
All of this must never die
Popemobile to Paraguay
It’s been a while since you said heil
You CIA-bred necrophile
No Russkies left to rail at, not for now
But the Slavs in their millions
With their scrapheaps of children
Must replace your South Americans
More skulls to keep your mafia in the mafia top ten
They’ll mass when commanded, they’ll hate when they’re told
They’ll murder their neighbours for the good of their soul
They’ll punish your enemies if you’ll read out their names
They’ll be adorning the bridges from the Don to the Thames
Cleansing faces of their smiles
Butchers sheltered and praised
Meeting pain with fairytales
Dead bank-balances raised
All of this must never die
Popemobile to Paraguay
You may think we look stupid, but we’re behind with the rent
How much am I bid for this real piece of Jesus’ polyester tent?
Polyester tent which my dad just sent
And it’s lock up the women, burn this book for me, man
Send sweeties and flowers to Teh-huh-ran
Lock up the women, burn this book for me, man
Send sweeties and flowers to my pal in Tehran
In Iran
Eye-ran
I ran

The future is held in the hands who write the textbooks
Ignorance is bred when falsified thinking is taught
To the youth instead of past mistakes and mind elevation,
Like the graves that manifest destiny has created
So we can build our Capitalist consumer based economy,
To build, market, and sell commodities we don't need
We are trained to believe, like celebrity imaging
Well I'm here to take my feelings back and I hope That you will be with me
I can't wait for the day
When I hear us all screaming,
HERE COMES THE REVOLUTION.
When every race color
And creed of militant human beings stand up
With fists together for substance and true meaning
Because right now we got our feet stuck in cement
We're too caught up in a material status quo punishment
And one thing is for sure and that's the sun will always set,
Darling you can bet our moon is quite the opposite
So baby take a axe to your makeup kit
Set ablaze the billboards and their advertisements
Love with all your hearts and never forget
How good it feels to be alive
And strive for your desire
Just cause you can't see your cage doesn't mean that you are free
When there are laws against nature but its ok for you to be
Addicted to over the counter prescriptions
And magazines dictate all our human relations
I'm not buying, no I'm not giving in
To a culture that objectifies all of our women
I'm not buying, no I'm not consuming
The apathetic dribble on the news media's chin
I'm not buying, no I'm not giving in
The lies that are sold through textbooks to children
I'm not buying, no I'm not consuming
Cause the positive will always overcome the negative right...

Those Rx Bandits lyrics are awesome, as are these:
Floating on mist
Crept up the caverns of my brain
Received no warning
From nothing to a life code
Walk with me, you'll never leave
Wait to see your spirit free
Tell me how your heart's in need
As I drown you in the sea
Unwinding snares of distrust
Your wrist in my fast grip
Look me in the eye, I'm clear
This is your time
Face down beneath the waterline
Gazing into the deep
From love to death
In a time span for seconds
Oblivious to regret
Pushed into belief
In liquid cellophane
Gasping for air
Mercy in my eyes
Is the shade of the night
Face down beneath the waterline
Gazing into the deep
The piercing sounds you make
Soaring higher, higher now
And once left in my wake
Your memory's nothing but the scars on me
All over now
Forgotten why I needed this
Standing down
Disappear into the obscure
Resting days
Waiting for new disease
Biding time
Locked inside insanity
It always burns within
The downward spiral never ends
When driven into sin
Your salvation found in a sinner's deed
All over now
Forgotten why I needed this
Standing down
Disappear into the obscure
Resting days
Waiting for new disease
Biding time
Locked inside insanity
The devil guides the way
Tells me what to say
Pours himself inside
And snuffs the final light
Deliverance, thrown back at me
Deliverance, laughing at me

We all learn to box at the Midget Club
Where we punch with love and did someone some good
It's good to see ya, to see ya nice
If you do it once, well we'll do it twice
We're twice as likely we're twice as bright
You say it's wrong, but, we know it's right
Soooo Right
Right on, right on
Right
Right on, right on
We all learn to wash at the scrubbers club
Where we wring out the dirt with rub a dub dub
Tell me how you think if you think it's good
Say it loud and clear so it's understood
You take it how you make it like I knew you would
Let it bleed let it heal let me sleep it's no good, so...
Let's ride, right on right on
Right, right on right on......
Honey how's your breathing
If it stops for good we'll be leaving
And honey how's your daughter
Did you teach her what we've taught yer
And if you didn't well you ought to do it now
Well let's ride, right on right on
Right, right on right on......

I sent for juice.
You give me poision.
I hold the line.
You form the queue.
Try anything hard.
Is there anything else you can do?
Well not much - I've not been trained.
I can sit and stand, n' beg n' roll over.
I don't read.
I just guess.
There's more than one sign.
But it's getting less.
And you were wet.
But you're getting dryer.
You used to speak the truth.
But now you're liar.
You used to speak the truth.
But now you're clever.
And I wrote for luck.
And they sent me you.
And I sent for juice.
You give me poision.
I hold the line.
You form the queue.
Try anything hard.
Is there anything else you can do?
And you were wet.
But you're getting dryer.
You used to speak the truth.
But now you're clever.
You used to speak the truth.
But now you're clever.
And when it's hot.
You start to melt.
'Cos you're not made of gene
You're made of chocolate.
And when it's cold.
You turn to crack.
You keep on pilling out.
Ahhhhaha, Ahhhhah. Ahhhhaha, Ahhhhah. Ahhhhaha. Ahhhhah, Ahhhhaha, Ahhhhah, Ahhhhaha
Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iii Ahhhhaha Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iii Ahhhhaha

she's worried she said too much
and talking i'm talking she's talking like books i read
it's easy it's easy it's easy to shut yourself off
never on the record it'll never show up
feel safe, inside, inside those well drawn line
boyfriend, a car, a job, my white girl life
she swallowed a spider to catch, to catch that fly
but i don't know why, why she swallowed that lie
she wants to be anonymous
i sign anonymous
she wants to be like everybody else
i sign anonymous
not enough for you to know
not enough for you to own
these words are all i have
these word are who i am

This flower is scorched
This film is on
On a maddening loop.
These clothes,
These clothes don't fit us right
And I'm to blame
It's all the same
It's all the same
You come to me with a bone in your hand
You come to me with your hair curled tight
You come to me with positions
You come to me with excuses
Ducked out in a row
You wear me out
You wear me out
We've been through fake-a-breakdown
Self hurt
Plastics, collections
Self help, self pain,
EST, psychics, **** all
I was central
I had control
I lost my head
I need this
I need this
A paper weight, junk garage
Winter rain, a honey pot
Crazy, all the lovers have been tagged.
A hotline, a wanted ad
It's crazy what you could've had
It's crazy what you could've had
It's crazy what you could've had
I need this
I need this

Love in, love out, find the feeling
Scream in, scream out, time for healing
You feel the moments gone too soon,
You're watching clouds come over you.
You're torn in two,
You close your eyes for some place new,
You're torn in two.
And I feel it's going down,
Ten feet below the ground,
I'm waiting for your healing hand,
One touch could bring me round,
I feel we're going down,
Ten feet below the ground,
It's just the way I'm feeling.
Glow in, burn out,
Lost the feeling
Bruise in, you bruise out,
Nurse the bleeding.
We're torn in two,
Each time we bruise.
And I feel it's going down,
Ten feet below the ground,
I'm waiting for your healing hand,
One touch could bring me round,
I feel we're going down,
Ten feet below the ground,
It's just the way I'm feeling.
Yeah yeah, it's just the way I'm feeling
Two different views,
As words confuse and break,
I can't get out,
There's no way out of here,
I can't get clear.
Love in, love out,
Find the feeling.
And I feel it's going down,
Ten feet below the ground,
I'm waiting for your healing hand,
One touch could bring me round,
I feel we're going down,
Ten feet below the ground,
It's just the way I'm feeling
Yeah, yeah, it's just the way I'm feeling
Yeah, yeah, it's just the way I'm feeling
Yeah, yeah, it's just the way I'm feeling
Yeah, yeah, it's just the way I'm feeling

Men Of England, wherefore plough
For the Lords who laid you low?
Wherefore weave with toil and care
The rich robes your tyrants wear
Wherefore feed and clothe and save
From the cradle to the grave
Those ungrateful drones who
Drain your sweat - nay drink your blood
Have ye leisure, comfort, calm
Shelter, food, love's gentle balm?
Or what is ye buy so dear
With your pain and with your fear
The seed ye sow, another reaps
The wealth ye find, another keeps
The robes ye weave, another wears
The arms ye forge, another bears
Sow seed - but let not tyrant reap
Find wealth - let no impostor heap
Weave robes - let not the idle wear
Forge arms - in your defence to bear
With plough and spade and hoe and loom
Trace your grave and build your tomb
And weave your winding sheet till fair
England be your sepulchre

See, ever since the day I got the chance to make a change,
I've been in this game, it's a new day, and I'm making it known cause, I just want the world to know, I'm paying my dues, and I got the utmost, I just wanna let you know, I'm paying homage cause you've paved the way for me, Yeah.
I swear to God, It feel like every day is my birthday, let the top down California's my birthplace. So I'ma take you there like Big took niggas to New York, usually had us feeling like we was from New York, And that's real shit blazed the Philly, it's summertime shout out to Will Smith, cause who didn't wanna be the fresh prince flat top gold chain and some fresh kicks? My Nigga Nas told me money make the world go round, and Uncle Luke showed me how to make my girl go down. I've been around HIP HOP since '85, she had her ups and downs but she stayed alive. I used to think LL stood for Love LA, He from queens how the **** he put that with Cool J? Red Kangol hat, red sweatsuit to match, red Adidas, Nigga Game is back
Public Enemy and NWA is on my boombox had to say, today was a good day, had the hood buzzing, Ice Cube my favorite rapper, yall niggas cant tell me nothin. Everybody's first bootleg was Boyz n the Hood, whoever thought Gangsta Rap would make noise in the hood, when the cars ride by with the boomin system, two door Mustang and the roof was missing. Every girl at ya school had the new extensions even gangstas was dancing like New Edition. Cause the house parties stayed rockin all night, niggas came through and shot it up but it was alright, Cause after the cops left it was a party then, you down wit OPP then bring Naughty in. They say it never rain in southern California, Tony Toni lied. Sit back, watch Game throw his money in the sky.
Cash rules everything around me, C.R.E.A.M get the money, in the back, I relax with all the hunnies. DJ bring it back, let it go, mix it in with Black Rob, make em say WHOA. Every thing full circle, Game living major, girl(')s on my hip like a Skytel pager now I'm on the top, let the champagne pop, throw ya hands in the sky cause The Game don't stop. Just a little more change, gotta Benz and the Range, every rap metaphor always ends in my name: the Cool Hercs, DJ Red Alerts, before I was born they was talking bout The Game. Ask a Jay-Z Fan bout Big Daddy Kane; don't know em, Game gonna show em, just like they showed me, my lyrics is O.G. When it's all said and done you niggas gon' quote me.
See, Mary J. I want you to understand you paved the way (for me)
I'm givin homage (to you)
I'm going to see him with my brother in two weeks and it's going to be amazing.

Bones in the water and dust in my lungs
Absorbing archaic like a sponge
The ultimate way is the way you control
But can you stay if you detach your soul
Bury the present and squeeze out the past
The ones you endear to never last
Chemical burns and the animalistic
I'm just another hard-line pseudo-statistic
Can you feel this?
I'm dying to feel this
Can you feel this?
Blood on the paper and skin on my teeth
Trying to commit to what's beneath
To find the time is to lose the momentum
You learn the lessons and immediately forget them
Automatic and out of my reach
Consult all the waste to find the key
Minimal life and the polysyllabic
I'm just another blank page - push the button, pull the rage
Can you feel this?
I'm dying to feel this
Can you feel this?
I am all, but what am I?
Another number that isn't equal to any of you
I control, but I comply
Pick me apart, then pick up the pieces
I'm uneven
I am the damaged one
All my life and the damage done
Can you feel this?
I'm dying to feel this
Can you feel this?
I'm dying to feel this
I am all, but what am I?
Another number that isn't equal to any of you
I control, but I comply
Pick me apart, then pick up the pieces
I'm uneven

When the evening falls
And the daylight is fading,
From within me calls
Could it be I am sleeping?
For a moment I stray,
Then it holds me completely
Close to home - I cannot say
Close to home feeling so far away
As I walk the room there before me a shadow
From another world, where no other can follow
Carry me to my own, to where I can cross over
Close to home - I cannot say
Close to home feeling so far away
Forever searching; never right,
I am lost in oceans of night.
Forever hoping I can find memories
Those memories I left behind
Even though I leave will I go on believing
That this time is real - am I lost in this feeling?
Like a child passing through,
Never knowing the reason
I am home - I know the way
I am home - feeling oh, so far away

Angel, i'm sober
I got off that stuff
Just like you asked me to
Angel, come closer
So the stink of your lies
Sinks into my memory
She said baby, forever, but I don't like to be alone
So don't stay away too long
Baby, forever, well it's tuesday now
I hear him breathing inside of her
Let me drink
Let me tie off
I'm really slobbering now
Let it stink
Let it dry up
It's impossible
How?
Angel, forever
Don't you promise me what you cannot deliver
Angel, together
I'll be waiting for you on Fountain and Fairfax
I'm sorry
I heard about the bad news today
A crowd of people around you
Telling you it's okay
And everything happens for a reason
When you lose a part of your self
To somebody you know
It takes a lot to let go
Every breath that you remember
Pictures fade away but memory is forever
An empty chair at all the tables
And I'll be seeing you when all my days boil down
But it's better where you're going anyway
I'm sorry
I heard about the bad news today
It's really hard to get through
Tough times and long days
But it really just depends on the season
For now we'll say goodbye
We know it's not the last time
I've lost the best part of my day
But it's better where you're going anyway
This is the last thing
I will remember
It's better where you're going anyway

How can i decide what's right?
When you're clouding up my mind,
I cant win your losing fight,
All the time.
How can i ever own what's mine?
When you're always taking sides,
But you wont take away my pride,
No not this time...
Not this time.
How did we get here?
I used to know you so well,
How did we get here?
I think i know how.
The truth is hiding in your eyes,
And it's hanging on your tongue,
Just boiling in my blood,
But you think that i cant see.
What kind of man that you are?
If you're man at all,
I will figure this one out.
On my own...
(Screaming i love you so)
On my own...
(My thoughts you cant decode)
How did we get here?
I used to know you so well,
How did we get here?
I think i know how.
Do you see,
What we've done,
Were gonna make such fools,
Of ourselves...
Do you see,
What we've done,
Were gonna make such fools,
Of ourselves...
YEAH
How did we get here
I used to know you so well
Yeah Yeah Yeah
How did we get here?
I use to know you so well
I think i know...
I think i know...
There is something,
I see in you,
It might kill me,
I want it to be true.

The satellite's trackin' Santa
We text our Christmas list
And leave our mobile numbers
To help out ole' Saint Nick.
Sometimes we stop and wonder
Has that ole' bubble burst?
Or will this Christmas morning be like the first?
But tonight we still thank Bethlehem
And bless the Lord for love again
Bring peace on earth goodwill to men
It's the future not the past
Lets have a:
First night
Star bright
Child of light
So right
21st century Christmas
Magic morn
Tree adorn
Child is born
Safe and warm
21st century Christmas
We'll microwave some popcorn
Put on a DVD
Fax Tiny Tim a thank you
For blessing you and me
Sometimes we watch and wonder
Has Christmas lost its touch?
Can a world beyond the money
Be worth that much?
And tonight as we thank Bethlehem
And bless the Lord for love again
Bring peace on earth, goodwill to men
The future is the past
We'll have a:
First night

We sail tonight for Singapore,
Were all as mad as hatters here
I've fallen for a tawny moor,
Took off to the land of nod
Drank with all the Chinamen,
Walked the sewers of Paris
I danced along a colored wind,
Dangled from a rope of sand
You must say goodbye to me
We sail tonight for Singapore,
Dont fall asleep while youre ashore
Cross your heart and hope to die
When you hear the children cry
Let marrow bone and cleaver choose
While making feet for children shoes
Through the alley, back from hell,
When you hear that steeple bell
You must say goodbye to me
Wipe him down with gasoline
til his arms are hard and mean
From now on boys this iron boats your home
So heave away, boys
We sail tonight for Singapore,
Take your blankets from the floor
Wash your mouth out by the door,
The whole towns made of iron ore
Every witness turns to steam,
They all become italian dreams
Fill your pockets up with earth,
Get yourself a dollars worth
Away boys, away boys, heave away
The captain is a one-armed dwarf,
Hes throwing dice along the wharf
In the land of the blind
The one-eyed man is king, so take this ring
We sail tonight for Singapore,
Were all as mad as hatters here
I've fallen for a tawny moor,
Took off to the land of nod
Drank with all the Chinamen,
Walked the sewers of Paris
I drank along a colored wind,
I dangled from a rope of sand
You must say goodbye to me

It was Christmas Eve babe
In the drunk tank
An old man said to me, wont see another one
And then he sang a song
The rare old mountain dew
I turned my face away
And dreamed about you
Got on a lucky one
Came in eighteen to one
Ive got a feeling
This years for me and you
So happy christmas
I love you baby
I can see a better time
When all our dreams come true
Theyve got cars big as bars
Theyve got rivers of gold
But the wind goes right through you
Its no place for the old
When you first took my hand
On a cold christmas eve
You promised me
Broadway was waiting for me
You were handsome
You were pretty
Queen of new york city
When the band finished playing
They howled out for more
Sinatra was swinging,
All the drunks they were singing
We kissed on a corner
Then danced through the night
The boys of the NYPD choir
