You basically get a code, which allows you to get another code, which means you can download the COD map pack for free. There are two decent maps as well, as well as a shit one, so it's well worth getting.

Also, when you get on Live, make sure you use your free month trial membership, and use the free month voucher you got inside your GTAIV box. Get 2 months free gaming out of 'em before you have to cough up some cash.

I dunno. I play it on the PC all the time. It is acefun. Then when my friend bought the orange box I tried it out and it just felt really different. Like you say; it felt spare. I hardly saw anyone else. I think the console versions have a maxplayer of 12 or something sillyilyily small. Even though they shrunk the maps to deal with this, it just didn't feel as manic and fun.

Also: Killcreek is ace. I always lose my way though.

in a word, yes.

It totally depends on the server and the other people playing, there is a nioce simplicity to it, the fact that you just run around and kill people, but thats also its downfall.

Anyway played through some R6V2 single player last night. Up to the oil refinery level where I'm by myself. There's a pretty insane firefight going down at the bit I'm up to.

take out the Geth first and then concentrate on the Krogan, also add upgrades to you weapons such as improved sight and either the effective against organics to you team mates weapons and effective against synthetics to your weapon.

Use your team mates abilities to your advantage as well.

You got regular version or Colonies? They aren't compatible for some reason. Anyway I'd definitely be up for some multiplayer on this, it's great fun. The DL maps are all free (and ace) too.

The actual new ones that feature the Phantom chip or whatever it's called are probably fine. Whether or not the new one you buy from the shop has one however is debatable. Anyway I don't know what people are moaning about, I'm on my fourth and it's never really bothered me seeing as MS customer service are swift as ****.

So yeah, I just worked out why all the reviews of Ninja Gaiden 2 mention it being insanely hard. The second boss on Chapter 2. Had my first "I'm going to smash my pad to bits" moment in years. It's just so_****ing_bastardly_hard! I had to switch off and play some Lego Indy to calm my nerves.

it's the MAJOR reason for the pre-ordered ATi HD4870. Even the 1950XT has slight issues with Stalker, Clear Sky is going to be a monster. You know anyone that wants a small upgrade, or to crossfire a couple of 1950XT cards?

Up to chapter 6 of Ninja Gaiden 2 now. None of the bosses since have been as maddening as the chapter 2 one thankfully and the game basically kicks ass.

Killzone was good.

I think some of the guns were terrible though. The two standard rifles had piss-poor accuracy. But it was every third shot hit, so you'd be there for ages, or you'd have to get up close. I'm a sniper, so this angered me.

Black was pretty good, apart from the enemies that took 5 shots to the head, but it was gorgeous. I've leant him that already though.

nah, i'll do GTA4, then find something else. I'm waiting for a few games at the moment. The new GFX card for the desktop box is a serious piece of awesome, and it'll need to be used hard before I buy any other XBox games.

It well and truly was. I was discussing it at work with someone, and I've now reached my final analysis:

It's just GTAIII, but prettier.

They've added a few add-ons, and bits, but it's the same game. I wanted the leap from GTAI to GTAIII, but it simply wasn't.

When I played III, it blew my mind, like completely, there was nothing like it. IV was a big let down, as it didn't blow me away, just made me go, "meh, that's neat, I guess."

I never wanted to go back to it desperately. They obviously just catered to those who wanted exactly that, a prettier version of the original.

Just unlocked the new weapons on Team Fortress 2. They've released updates for both the Medic and the Pyro now so I thought I'd give it another bash.

GTAIV lived up to the expectations I had for it, I knew I wasnt going to get the leap forward that we had with GTAIII because I dont think there can be such a leap with this game anymore. I think they have done really well with it, the grpahics were good for the size of the game, the fighting system has improved immensly and I just think its a really good game...multiplayer was great fun too.

Anyway im on the last bit of the main Mass Effect storyline now, I hope I can get the New Game+ so that I can then reach level 50 and get the Master Spectre Gear X class weapons.

Saw an advert for Crisis Core as well on the TV yesturday which was probably the first PSP advert for god knows how long...should really try and finish it soon.
