Orange: Lovely sunny day
Lemon: Work at 3 and good weather means everybody in THE WORLD will be coming in after work, buying crates of lovely lovely booze and going down the park while I restock said crates and deal with recalcitrant tills.

Oranges: Caroline's coming to Preston today so I might try and be sneaky and see her for a bit.
Lemons: I might not be able to see her and the only reason she's coming is because her dickhead of a university tutor lost both copies of her dissertation.

oranges. Off to mexico in less than a week

Lemon.

Town's in every direction are being evacuated in anticipation of a mahoosive storm, leading to huge flooding, which is on top of top of already flooded rivers and lakes here. Oh, and there's several tornado warnings to make it a little more interesting. Currently trying to hatch a plan to move everything i own above ground which is being hampered by the thought of having to move 1500 12"s, and the fact i'm at work, 30miles away, and have to cross the main river to get home... :(

How long is it before the tornadoes hit? My mate grew up in St. Vincent in the Caribbean, so I have a good idea of hard these things can hit. That's the toughest break I've seen someone on here get in a long time, I hope you get everything you need to a safe spot. Take care and stay safe.

Orange: marianne took her first steps today :)

Lemon: did she choose to perform this feat for the woman who sacrificed her body, health, sanity and social life for her? Or maybe the man who goes out working at all hours and cooks her healthy and nutritious meals? both of whom have spent hours encouraging her to be mobile and confident? No. She did it for the grandparents who spoil her rotten and hand her back hyperactive and grumpy.

Kids, eh?

Claire has Pearl, I have Diamond. I think Diamond is a bit more manly. :D

I think they're both very compelling. Although it's still just as broke in places like the original. I mean, the first gym leader is a rock type?!?! REALLY?!?

So my fire-type which I picked by accident made the first few hours of gameplay rather frustrating.

This part of pearl is driving me mental. That town that won't let me fight in its gym told me to go to the next town, the next down doesn't even HAVE a gym, so now i'm on to the next town along, and according to hayley, ive got a time limit on how quickly i have to get to the next gym and back to that original one?! WHAT?! retarded. 100% retarded.

i'm so glad you played it before me, so that i could learn from your fire/rock issue. I'd still have chosen the turtle though, he totally rules.

The rock leader isn't too bad if you manage to level up your fire type or catch a Bidoof and level it up to 15 for a Bibarel with Water Gun.

Once you have the WiFi trading thing going on the game, get on that bitch. I've traded for some really great pokemon. It's slightly hindered in that you can only trade for pokemon you've already seen, but it's still very handy.

Oh yeah it was no problem, but I still think it breaks the game a little, in that the first gym should be pretty easy for all 3 starting pokemon, especially for new players.

It's still pretty hardcore though! It's essentially a harcore JRPG in cute disguise. I like it though. I rule on it also. PLUS I give the best nicknames to my Pokemon EVER. :D

Be wary. I was told I could get it, and I went to the confirmation meeting thing and they phoned up the University and I was told that I'm still a student until results day and that I'd have to apply all over again after I get my results.

Yeh, I was thinking this, but I was just told on the phone that I could get it at the end of term, which is May 23rd, so hopefully it won't be a wasted journey as my mum really can't afford to keep me at the moment.

Hopefully you can, but they told me the exact same thing on the phone and then when I went in they phoned the uni and the uni confirmed it was this Friday. :( Going through the whole process again just a week later will be a right ballache, but I've managed ot borrow a reasonable amount of cash until I get sorted.

Jobhunting sucks, doesn't it?

Yeh, they're supposed to ring you within 72 hours to tell your interview date aren't they? I applied last Sunday, and on Thursday they sent me a letter saying I'd cancelled my application. They'd not spoken to me after I clicked, "Submit application," and it turned out they'd just tried to ring once, and ****ed me off! To say you're going to ring within 72 hours is asking a lot of me to just sit in for 3 days and wait for them to put their fingers out! The guy said, "We tried to ring on Tuesday but no-one answered," so I replied, "Do you just assume that they don't want the benefits they're entitled to?" When he asked why I hadn't been in (you'd think that would be a private matter!) I said, "I was out in Preston. Looking for jobs. Which is why I'm claiming for Jobseeker's Allowance." He backdated my claim for me there and then. Still probably won't get it by the sounds of it though!

Lemon: and it is a citrus of GARGANTUAN proportions, I had to do this because I couldn't remember it, and was having a brain fart of such GOLIATH proportion that I forgot that it's on frigging Wikipedia anyway.

Clearly, Alzheimers is not far over my personal horizon. I'll be able to undertake arcane geometry, but be unable to remember how many sides a triangle has. If I successfully derive a Dho-Na geometric curve and accidentally summon something awful from beyond space and time, please try and forgive me.
