I tried mailing "the venue" to no avail.
Has anyone got any suggestions for contacting the venue about booking/hiring?

They are now event organisers. They do the bookings for all of the nights. I best let them explain. Fishbert and Colouring Book have an Office in the Venue.

Is THAT why he was flapping on about The Venue really needing promoters. LOL

Yep, otherwise the Bailiffs (Joe and Mick) will come and kick him till pound coins fall out of his trap.

I get the impression that beats of rage aint massive fans of teh whole live band thing. Booking gigs there becomes increasingly difficult.

This is not true.

BOR book live bands anyway!? Have you been?

Things are only just being handed over at the moment, get in touch with "evilgingeremporer" or "J2TheH". OR go to the Venue in the day time.

There are definitely things afoot. And those things involve live bands.

I was there yesterday in their office - planning with them lots of Gothy schemes and Industrial Strength strategies

beats of rage puts on about 2 bands a week on their own club night. jst because they're not rock bands doesnt stop them from being bands.

James is very interested and active in the local gigging scene. Matt is in 3 locally gigging bands( that's right THREE) ranging from hip-hop to rock.

do you mean its hard to play BoR? that's maybe cause it's their night and they run it how they want.

it works too.

I have had a gig cancelled i had booked and know someone else who is in the same position. I was merely enquiring if the venue is likely to turn into more of a club with the success of the DJ's.

I know nothing about it really, I just know them both and have nowt to do with it. From what I've heard they are keeping it with bands on and the like but rejigging stuff to make it all work better. Eg so similar nights in preston dont clash.

And now they have appointed (I believe) Matt and Jay to do the business - consider the promotion that BoR gets, and I think it's plain to see that's a winning move.
