Re: Vidja games

I've just fixed my 3DS, so it's Majora's Mask atm.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 has been keeping my interest. Best game I've played in years.

Mechwarrior 5 is still bringing me back.

I don't have a console I cna use as The Small demands pretty much exclusive access to the Switch.

Oranges :: I found somerhing I've wanted for ages for 25% the price it should have been.
Lemons :: Parcelfarce have tried to deliver it to the wrong address multiple times, and now I've got a refund and price is £130 again.

Not in the area, but I've bought a few things from Thomman. https://www.thomann.co.uk/

Yes it takes a few days to come from Germany, but they're pretty damned good to deal with.

"Modern" music

What post-2010 music do you recommend?

We've all got "The Classics" and "Dad Rock" down pat, but what new shit that your kids could playing in bands have you found and you like?

My current replay is "Bloom" by Sludge Mother...

In other political news, that little shit McSweeney resigning is a brief bit of cheer. Though he'll probably just pull the same routine as his paedo-pal mentor and pop back up again in a few years in another Labour role

Oranges :: You can ban entire ISPs from their IP range.
Lemons :: It takes ages to go through the list of fake accounts and add their IP Ranges to the ban list.

Re: The adult neurodivergence realisation/diagnosis thread

I am under assessment for ADHD. Not sure how I feel about it. My friend noted I have similar traits to her and how much the medication helped her with her energy levels, avoiding burnout and better concentration, so that inspired me to look into it.

I don't know. The meds can apparently really ...

Re: The adult neurodivergence realisation/diagnosis thread

Oh so much fun.

Diagnosed in 2021/22. Took literally 3 years to get it sorted out because lockdown shafted things up and the local service, which incidentally was run by an Autie doctor.

At least I know the root of my weirdness now, and I refer to is as 'My Weird'.

While it's helpful to know ...

That's from experience. A forum I used to help with a bit allowed "a few" of the Tommy Ten Names types on, and they're just fucking horrible people.

I was a little right of centre, but these days after the absolute fucking disaster and disgrace that 12 years of unfettered Tory excess I'm somewhat more left wing than I was was.

I have/had spinal stenosis that was bad enough they actually gave me a multilevel laminectomy. Still hurts, but about 10% as much as before they cut chunks out of my spine. It also resulted in spinal and nerve damage that is unlikely to ever fully heal, so my leg is weak and moves slower than it ...
